^^Not sure about the ratio but the percentage of takers would approach 100% +/- .00000000000000000000000000001. :giggle:
The funny thing is, since pretty much a 99.9% of people would've chosen the scissor doors, the NON-scissor door Gallardos would probably be super rare and highly collectible now, lol. Kinda like the gated vs egear

Well if if compare that to the glass engine bonnet or louvers... Some people don't have the budget or desire.
I think it was an option many would think it’s too expensive. I can just imagine what price point Lamborghini replace on that, $20,000 plus?

Only reason we see so much glass engine is because of the great deal that is the life style pack IMO. Seems standard now on any Huracan.
When someone has unlimited money sure I agree, but for some they have to weight the useful options instead of a cosmetic option. If you add all the options it ends up costing another half of a base car.

Ii think everyone has a budget, just some have a much bigger one than others. I always set a price and then allow about a 10% overage if necessary.

What does all the knowledgable and intelligent people on the forum think about this?

Is it trying too much, or destroying/modding the Huracan too much, wannabe-style, or is it just cool and go do it?

I have not made up my own mind about what I think about it. I think we all understand that Lamborghini only put the scissor doors on the Aventador (and other V12s) by a good reason to differentiate the baby and the bigboy, and to ofcourse sell more of the Aventador but... still...

With the scissor doors its actually (if I get it right) a practical thing too - more convenient to get in/out of the car in narrow places and garages etc... or is it not?
Ultimate scissor door tribute, nuff said.
I agree with most, the 'added on' scissor door kits dont really convert the car to a proper scissor door. The car's striker plates and latch receivers were designed for horizontal movement to engage properly.
It looks silly to have the doors open out THEN up. If you wanted to do a proper conversion, the doors should open UP only, like a Countach. This would require all the needed design and fabrication to modify not only the striker but also the doors themselves to add a frame to the window glass and custom door seals.
If a person was to do this, I would be much more inclined to accept it as a persons version of what the factory 'could have' done, not some wanna be Corvette add on.

I agree, To convert them so they function like true scissor doors would be far too costly to make it practical.

I was even disappointed with Lamborghini when they came out with Aventador even because they made the doors open 'diagonally' because of the frameless windows having that damn up/down motion upon closing. Seems they could have spent a bit more time to do it properly but I'm sure it had something to do with using VW parts bins (cheaper not to design a unique system) for some part of the window functions.
I guess I am barking at the moon because the NEW Countach was tragic in it only being an Aventador in drag rather than a clean sheet design top to bottom, but thats a whole different discussion.

There I will now stand down off my soapbox, ha!

Do any of them open vertically, not diagonally?
