The new Gallardo coming up?

What are your thoughts on it?

I'm going to disappointed and upset if this is the Gallardo replacement.

It literally looks like they've taken the front of an Aventador, the back of the current Gallardo and put them together with something that looks like a kit car holding them together in the middle. The huge Lamborghini script and logo on the back really don't do it for me either.

Overall quite disappointed.

Current owners, please take immaculate care of your cars because it looks like I'll be shopping for a "classic" Murcielago SV or Aventador when I can afford one!

Looks like kit car versionof aventador. Not my cup of tea.

I think it looks pretty cool, but I seriously doubt that is the replacement. Just looks like parts from several different lambos pieced together..the side profile looks too much like the current G. Nice try.

Well having said that I might just have to eat those words. I'm not sure how accurate the source is, but he has been spot on in the past, and he is quite certain we are looking at the new G. I want to see the inside, and get some specs.

Well, when Ferrari came out with the Testarossa they also came out with the smaller 348V8 version. The 348 became known as the "Baby Testarossa" and I don't think that went over to well with the market.

Now, if Lamborghini makes the new Gallardo look like an Aventador will we not really have a "Baby Aventador"?

I suspect the new Gallardo will not in any way resemble the Aventador.

Def not the real car but who knows if the p-shop carries some of the actual styling cues. Here is the original pic of one of the shots - he reversed it.
The article very clearly says its photoshop and speculative.

Nothing is for certain, but these renderings penned by Carbon Designs give the best look yet of what Lamborghini’s new model will look like.

AJ: Strongly disagree. I believe the new G will have a strong resemblence to the A; it has to if it's to be a Lamborghini. I'm betting the side silhouette of the car will be very similar to the current G and the A. If they abandon the angular wedge look and start rounding out lines it's going to look like an F car. And we don't want that!

Yes, we never want to lose those hard chiseled lines. That is what Lamborghini is all about. They are just ahead of the trend as always.

We will just have to wait and see how this all shakes out?

However, if you ask yourself what came first the Murcielago or the Gallardo. Of course, the Murcielago came out first followed a couple years later by the Gallardo. While the Gallardo and Murcielago shared similar looking front bumpers they had completely different designs for the side and rear views.

We all know the Gallardo came out before Aventador. The Aventador design has more design features resembling the Gallardo than the Murcielago especially the side air scoops.

Greatly speculating here but the new Gallardo may well be a lot different that the Aventador. I just do not think Lamborghini will create a "Baby Aventador" style Gallardo.

Ferrari came out with the Testarossa and the F-348. The F-348 became know as a "Baby Testarossa" because it looked like a small version of the larger Testarossa. IMHO the F-348 is/was one of the least desired models.

I would keep what I have before buying a "Baby Aventador"!

Hopefully, we will have all curiosities put to rest in a few months?
