Does anyone have interconnect schematics, specifically for the CAN wiring and E-gear ECU? OBD reads "no link" and even TEXA can't direct to the problem due to CAN not giving feedback to ECU status. Thanks

Yes the TEXA supercar diagnostics connects to the 5 pin connector in passenger footwell. A TEXA rep connected via Wifi but couldn't get info on the problem. Can get some data, which seems weird, but doesn't connect to ECU's. The TEXA did connect to OBD port but that info is limited. Evidently CAN is broken somewhere, I'm assuming the E-gear ECU, get E-gear alarm on dash when attempting to start engine, but haven't been able to verify. May have to shotgun. I want to check and see if I can find where the CAN is broken but can not find schematics online. Pretty sure with system schematics would be easy to troubleshoot.. Bummer

Thanks for the reply. That may be what I have downloaded, which does not include interconnection diagrams. It just has boxes drawn with pinouts and no descriptions of the #'s assigned on what those boxes (ECU's) are. Not useful for troubleshooting unless you have an index stating what the numbers are referring to. I even bought a TEXA diagnostics system but the CAN circuit is broken so unable to show the problem.

Start on page 1096 wiring diagram. Looks like 3 wires to ecus from can connector. #1 pin on can connector is probably a ground. Pages following 1096 show where the wires connect. Not your normal flow diagram. I am not an expert.

Is this the page? What is connector 409 connected to? 29R?, 29L? 279? EL0201? Where is the index descriptions for what these numbers represent? If I had that info I could easily troubleshoot.

I will look into that when I have more time and see if I can connect those dots. The 409 should be labelled GFA if that is what it is connected to, I'm pretty disgusted that they did not do that labelling! Lamborghini has the index but will not give it out... they want your $$$$$..
I suspect the GFA first and then the E-gear ECU which has power direct from the battery to charge the pump and make sure it is in neutral before powering the engine ECU's for start up. I get E-gear alarm on the dash when cranking the engine. Thanks much for the help!

I believe the bullstuff CD is the same manual we are looking at and wants $250 to ship it. Not happening.

Agreed, but this what is available for free. What is your opinion of the Texa diagnostic tool? I'm considering a purchase.
I think the TEXA will work fine except for the issue I have. It displays all the data like clutch wear ect but the E-gear test will not function. It also connected to the OBD where my handheld only displayed "no link". I can tell more after I figure out the break in the CAN communications so I can run the various tests.

Ok on the pages showing the connector layout at the bottom in small print it states the pcb. Long story short on the GFA pcb there is a large diode with only label PF.. which means voltage suppressor. It tests open both ways so is bad. I contacted Lamborghini SFO to see if they can identify this diode and get me one or two.
I'm wondering if there is anyone that repairs these boards for Lambo? Or knows the PN for this diode. I imagine there is also one in the egear ecu since it has BAT power connected to it too..

Thanks for the response!
Your comment refers to the dia port on passenger side right? I am referring to the GFA ECU.. lower right corner PF diode. I have not removed it from the pcb to check yet but appears to be bad which makes sense. I want to identify and replace and then see if the TEXA communicates to run tests. I am assuming the Egear ECU has the same problem but interested if TEXA discovers it or not (if diode fixes GFA). Not sure I am explaining clearly, I am certainly no expert.
The car cranks but does not start and there is Egear alarm on the dash. TEXA will not run tests through the 5-pin dia port but does display all parameters in memory. So CAN is broken somewhere, most likely GFA... if I am on the right track.

I think removing the part and checking it with a part identifier would be a good idea. I forgot where I got this 9v powered unit but it will tell you cap/resistor/transistor/diode/IC etc. once attached. Outputs the values and ESR for caps.

However, you don't want to go blow up your Texa if the CAN it outputting some weird voltage. Thus was thinking to hook up to scope.
