I'm my unending saga to figure out my idle instability, I've gone ahead and replaced my throttle position sensors with Sacer hall effect (contactless) sensors.
This is an upgrade that I think many DIY'ers are afraid of, but in my experience, it's really not that hard.
First, the results: The car drives noticeably smoother. Throttle response is noticeably more direct. E-Gear downshifts are noticeably smoother, and it hits target RPMs way more accurately and reliably than it previously did. I 100% recommend this upgrade. It did not however fix my idle issue.
I'll say again, I don't feel like this upgrade is that hard for anyone with passable soldering/DIY skills. I've also come up with a process that is far less tedious than other people have suggested. I did my second one in a lunch-break.
