The most important factor in shipping vehicles is to make absolutely sure that the trailers have side access doors.
I'll second this. It's called an escape door. A normal side door is at the front right of a trailer, An escape door is in the middle, lining up with the car door.
Be sure to ask the transporter if the trailer has this before contracting with them.
I made the mistake of not checking this beforehand with Executive Auto Transport and experienced the horror of watching the delivery guy squeezing down the side of my Gallardo and then climbing in through the window to get in the car.

The vast majority of shippers do this. It is what it is.

Hello! I listed my shipment in Shiply and started getting bids from PromptLogic. I'd like to know who they are because, as far as I know, companies can't register with their names. Has anybody booked with them before? What's their company name, are they good? Thank you!
I find it curious that you made the exact same post (verbatim) (your only post, I may add) on the Z car forum a year ago, almost to the day.

I get your concerns about car shipping; it can be a bit of a maze figuring it all out. From my experience, choosing a reputable transport company is critical. They usually have various options, from open to enclosed transport, depending on how much you want to spend and how protected you want your car to be.
Ensure you get a few quotes, as prices vary quite a bit. I've found that costs can depend on distance, type of vehicle, and the time of year. Also, be sure to ask about insurance coverage if something happens during transit. It’s also a good idea to read reviews; nothing beats hearing from folks who have been through it.

I’ve done enclosed shipping before and totally understand the need to find the right company. Plycar is a good choice for sure, but I’ve also had a great experience with Intercity Lines. They handled everything from pick-up to drop-off without a hitch and kept me in the loop the entire time, which was a huge relief.

If you’re looking to get more quotes or want to see what’s typical for pricing, you can check out this guide on shipping costs to Florida: A1 Auto Transport: Compare Licensed Car Shipping Companies. It gives a solid breakdown on what to expect and might help when comparing companies.

I’m currently looking to buy a Palisade and debating if I should get the vehicle shipped rather than putting 900 miles on drive back. If you’ve had your vehicle shipped and had good results please share the transport company you’re happy with. Thanks
Plycar. Not the cheapest but very reliable. They have shipped 3 Lamborghinis for me across country without a hitch.
