Hey folks,
I have these extra OZ racing rims.
Does anyone know where one can pick up the 40 screws/bolts that attaches this piece to the rim?

Also, is this for an 18” rim?

Bolts for split rims? I think you should be able to find them here with many depth variation:

Does anyone know what activates the REAR license plate lights on a Diablo?

I would think when one is driving and the headlights are on, they should activate???

(the manual does say when the parking light button is pressed, the license plate light will turn on, but it doesn’t say they will turn on when driving while the headlights are on)

Ps
I’ve installed a new pair of rear license plate lights, housing, etc. they are operating inconsistently. So I’d like to know what are all the methods to turn them on.

thanks!

Also, despite having an Electrical Engineering degree and being way, way smarter than you mortals… can someone inform me what the GN (on 91L -left number plate light) is and what the BR is(on 91R -right number plate light).

I may have done a boo, boo. I connected the lights in parallel.

Ok, I think I figured out why the license plate lights were smoking . Although the bulbs are bidirectional, the housing isn’t! If you look at the pic you can see the glow on the back. That’s a plastic round isolation piece. Otherwise it should be the positive connection! I’ve flipped the connectors and on the bench it’s not smoking. I think I’ll still use new 1.7 watt LED bulbs. Less heat, power, etc. the bulbs in the pic is at 15v from Powerace. I measured the voltage across bulb. It’s also at 15v . To the touch, the metal housing is hot. It could be from 15v instead of 12v. Another reason to use LEDs. PS that’s a home made wiring loom 😎

How the heck do you have the toaster and the coffee maker hooked up to your lights? Thought the overpriced stupid watch was the only option, Did not know that was even and option with Diablo's..... That's just amazing!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

Lol!
I have a DIY video I’m making about the license plate lights installation. My car had them removed by the previous owner as in Europe they use a wider plate.
I was able to purchase a pair of license plate housing, incasements and bulbs from bullstuff.
ONLY $300 lol!

Folks I hooked up the 1.7w LED bulbs…
The housing was cool to the touch! I thought surely some heat would transfer to the housing. They are also brighter.

if people want to protect their old lambo classic… I’d start migrating old bulb technology to low power LED replacements. Would mitigate potential fire/electrical issues.

I second that!!!! The bulbs are cheaper, cooler and brighter. I replaced most of the inside and rear bulbs on my 60 with LED. More vivid and brighter. Though I do not have the technical expertise to hook up that dang cool coffee maker and a toaster... I mean one can always use that refined coffee and toast while exceeding 200MPH, though I wouldn't recommend fried chicken at that speed, one bump and one could choke on the chicken wing

Just saying....... 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁 😝

Angel, you inspire me…. I already did LEDs on rear brakes and flashers and turns. Yes, big difference. Interestingly, I have in my dash panel two lights that illuminate the word “brake” when the hand brake is on. One of them is blinking so it must be a loose connection so I have to go in there and replace those lightbulbs. While I’m in there, I may replace the tack and speedometer lights, because they are notoriously dull. When you buy those LED replacements, you have to get dimmable kind because the dash has the dimmer mechanism, as rudimentary as the Italians designed that dimmer button.

Ok guys… I’m a little stumped. I’ve got the 99 owners manual. It doesn’t say which fuse/relay the license plate bulbs are on.

I assume they are on the same fuse relay that the driving light are on????? Anyone know if that’s correct. I’d like to inspect the components.

also in the owners manual it shows 2 conflicting fuse/relay board.

can someone clarify what the heck is going on?

I also noticed an interesting relay… something called Position Lamps.
Is that non functional… for the pop up headlights that aren’t on the 99 Diablo? Lol!

or is it for adjusting the headlights during a high to low beam maneuver?

Well, the F1 and F2 fuses were not the proper type.
They should be 5 amp.
One of them was completely fried! Probably from something I did. 😎
Anyhow, new fuses have been replaced and wiring/lights installed. Everything works.

Yes. It is the cross member lowest in the diagram above. By the way, the other 4 are sometimes hard to get perfectly accurate and you don’t want surprises. cut several small pieces of sturdy plywood, half inch stuff may be 5“ x 8“, and place between the frame members and your jackstand to help disburse the load.

This weekend I’m going to do all the fluids. I have these Rhino Ramps that have enough clearance to allow me to back the car up to get the vehicle about 8” off the ground.

my question is this… will having the car tilting forward, prevent a full and proper drain of the oil?
I might have to place a board under the front tires to prevent the front from ground out.
Thanks!

Hey kids, starting to take care of the exterior of the car. Bought a 6.5” and 3” DA rotary polisher. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos to learn what I’m doing 😎
Starting with the hood… did clay barring, cut compounding and polishing.
I’m now trying to figure out whether or not to apply ceramic coating or a spray graphene or spray ceramic? Any advice would be much appreciated.

so far here’s a before and after pics. Notice the glossy reflection of my hand in the last pic… not bad for an amateur 😀
