Josh at ECS just finished replacing the clutch in my e-gear "G" and transmission computer upgrade and what a difference. He is a super guy to do business with and I felt very comfortable with my savings over the dealer. He really puts his personal service into his work and you can see he cares.

Excellent! Another vote for ECS! Good going Josh!

Folks, do please feel free to provide ongoing feedback like this for shops even if they are already on the list. Good shops and great techs deserve the attention!

Thanks!

PS. Took my car there last week to have the oem primary cats replace and installed with the Larini Test Pipes (bought from a nice member here Smoky). Adrian's work was well done and fast turn around time. Don't know what the local think of his service, but this was my very first time there and I'm planing to see him again for my next service/work.

Hi PhuC

Is this the same place: Precision Exotics - South Florida's Premier Service and Custom Establishment ?

I ask because "Precision Tune" (the one I pull up in my searches at the address you listed) is a national chain and not an independent shop. In order to avoid stepping on sponsors' toes I am trying to avoid listing large chains to the best of my knowledge.

Now, if the guys at the Margate location are starting their own shop which is Precision Exotics then that is different. If those are the same folks who installed your decats with a satisfactory experience then we can definitely list them. If that is the case then when their operation formalizes (the current website looks incomplete) and they are no longer referred to as Precision Tune then please reply here to update so I can add them.

That doesn't mean you can't post your experience with the chain as you did (unless the moderators have issue with it, and of course I defer to their rules and preferences). I'm just hesitant to list a national chain in this thread since the focus is indie shops. I hope you understand.

I try to validate each and every submission with at least a bit of googling and shop info research. So if there is another national chain on the list and I missed it please feel free to reply here and let me know so I may re-validate that listing.

Thanks!

Dave, I believe the website you pulled up above is the correct one that I went to, they are updating the web according Juan whom i've been in contact with prior to the Larini cats installed. Juan aka (046spdm) is a member here and is a nice guy but to verify that the shop is indeed an indie shop I will ask Juan to come here to verify. Me know nuthing :D

Cool. Once you confirm just reply with the updated info including the new number and contact info from that site. That way the nice folks here won't think I'm making it up. :whip:

Thanks man!

PS: Still waiting on the exhaust video! You post it on Exhaustage yet?

Gents, sorry for the delay, I was traveling.

Yes, it is Precision Exotics, Inc. not Precision Tune, the locale still has the sign and we are co-sharing the space for now until new facility is acquired. Adrian has owned that establishment for 11-12 years now servicing many exotics under the Precision T. name - we are in the works of branching out if you would under a new name and the location may continue to stay where it is for now.

The site, well, have been extremely busy and just have not gotten around to it but we will have finished by end of month Feb, tons of products, pictures, etc...just very little time to dedicate to it right now, out apologies!

Phuc - glad you are happy with the product and most importantly happy with the install. I thought mine was loud with a Larini.....boy is yours loud!

Hi my name is Gary Cleveland. I have a 1997 Roadster and had Arena Motors of New Jersey replace my Clutch, pressure plate and through out bearing. Nothing but GREAT things to say about Steve. Everything was PERFECT when replaced, PRICE was GREAT and verry fair. I would tell EVERYBODY that you can't go wrong with Arena Motors .

Finally getting a chance to add my own experience and vendor rec to the list!

I met James (screen name: Infamous) from Mobile-Addictions.com on the forums and he and I spoke for quite a while as he gave me friendly audio tech help before I even realized he has a shop! He was just being a helpful guy while I was installing an Alpine head unit in my Murci. Once my audio needs expanded and I realized he not only has a great audio shop but also specializes in exotics I knew this was the guy to go to for audio stuff.

Trick was, I am in Louisiana and his shop is in New York. After discussing the project with James I purchased the hardware I would be installing (amp, sub, door speakers, and custom trim panels) from Mobile Addictions. I was at first thinking I would do this install myself. I've done a number of car installs in my day but the more I thought about this the more it dawned on me that I needed a pro installer for this special project on my beloved Murci. Another call to James and he connected me with two of his best guys, Christopher and Joseph.

I flew them down to Louisiana all the way from Staten Island, NY. Talk about nice, professional guys! I could have chatted their ears off all day because they were so easy to get along with and very knowledgeable about exotics in general and especially Lambo. They got right to work and in less than a weekend my Murci now has a stellar audio system (pics coming soon).

I had a lot of uneasiness about the installation but James was very helpful and knowledgeable about the whole process. He is a Lambo owner himself and understands the love we have for our cars. This was NOT the "usual" car audio installer experience I have known in the past which led me to learn this craft myself in the first place. This was something altogether new and I'm SO glad I connected with James, Christopher, and Joseph to get this job done. After seeing them work I know now there was NO WAY I was going to get through this install riding on the knowledge of working on audio from "everyday cars" I've owned in the past. There are a lot of nuances and tricks that come only from skill and specialist know-how that is required to do an install on our delicate Lambos and these guys made it look easy.

And it turns out they are not just an audio shop but also do mechanical and custom work as well. Seats, fiberglassing, interior work, maintenance, and tons more. If I lived anywhere near the NY area I would without-a-doubt bring my Murcielago to Mobile Addictions for any and every service need based on what I saw this past weekend. These guys LOVE cars like I do and are as meticulous as any enthusiast I've ever met.

Pictures of the finished product coming soon! Right now I'm having too much fun listening to my new tunes! The OEM stereo setup in Lambos leaves a lot to be desired and I love music too much to just roll with the cliche "just press the gas pedal" mantra to drown out that factory system. I like to have the best of both worlds and now my dream car has a dream audio system too.
