I remember my NSX also had drain points on the radiator and engine block. I wonder if there are any drain points other than on those front to back pipes.

Yes there are, at least on the 560, but you need not worry about them if you flush my way. Not sure where they all are other than the one on the side of the pan, but there may be more ports you can open, depending on the MY of your car.

?..
But i really dont feel confident with cold water flushing..

I have done this a dozen times on various vehicles. Never a problem :)

I still don't like the idea of flushing with tap water that partially stays behind and I don't want to go buy 100 gallons of distilled water. Think I'll just drain/fill two years in a row.

Just called my dealer and they're using Fricofin DP which is G12 ++. I'm guessing they just mix it with the old and don't completely flush the system.

If you look at the coolant chart i shared in former post.. Remember mixing coolant wil or might give you a reduced coolant efficiency.
Recomendable to follow Carbuffs advice regarding flushing.

For what it's worth I drained my coolant tonight and put back in 9 liters of Pentosin Pentofrost NF at a 60/40 mixture so that means 15 liters total so there are 6 liters of old coolant in the mix. I ran the car for about 10 minutes with the cap off and the level didn't go down but we'll see if I have to add more as everything settles.

The whole process took a little over an hour with the most time consuming part being mixing up the coolant before pouring it in. The fluid I drained out was blue.

A spoke with a former Lambo tech before doing this and he said not to sweat it too much over the coolant. GL11, GL 12++ or GL13 would be fine. Just don't mix any dexcool into the system. My research found that Pentosin made the former Audi blue GL11.

LOL! 100 gallons?

Just to clarify for everybody, for those of you that DO follow my directions, based on an approximate 15L (4 gallon) drain cycle, you are only looking at about 10 gallon jugs of very cheap distilled water available in any drugstore for the 2 flushes plus final fill in total.Total cost about $25. Is it really worth saving $25, and an hour of your time to cut corners? You decide.

Enough said. Bye.

If you're adding to a system with water stuck in it how do you know when you get to the right 60/40 mix? Is there a measuring device available like with the old Prestone coolant?

Yes, exactly what he said. Just don't mix G11 with G12. G12+ and ++ are compatible as is G13. The pentosin I bought is the original G11.

Lambo Gold Coast told me they drain the G11 and fill with G12++, no flush.

Gobble are you saying that you just drained the two drain cogs underneath the car until it ran dry and then filled up the system? Did you have to open the two banjo fittings on each radiator in the front? My dealer also told me the same as Gold Coast, no flush.

Yes, just drained the two spots underneath and filled it back up. You need a 6mm allen socket or wrench. I didn't take apart any of the front. Carbuff has a more thorough method but I figured if this was good enough for the dealers it was good enough for me.

Yes, and looking again today I need to buy another bottle of coolant. I'd guess the expansion tank needs another liter to fill near the top.

I was told by the dealer to fill the tank about a half inch past the line in the tank. The line is halfway up the tank. Its not really a line but its like half the tank if you know what i mean. Lol.
