Convertible Top Problem

So some buddies and I did a cruze for a 11yo kid that has cancer the Sunday before last and when we showed up I put the top down on my car. Well... the top didn't secure properly and it then would not go up or down so I had to release the hydraulic pressure and unlock the rear deck lid to get the top adjusted correctly.
The problem is that when I released the hydraulic pressure with the screw behind the drivers seat, I took the screw out instead of just turning it 1/2 turn like the manual says. I got the screw back in and snug but now you can hear the motors for the top but nothing is moving so I think I have air in the hydraulic lines. I got the top back in the closed position but can not open it now.

What do I do? The nearest dealer is 450 miles away:confused:

The container is not big, but 1 or 2 ounces might not make a difference. If you want to check the level, you will have to manually retract top, and remove the large metal piece that contains the rear window. Not easy, but I was watching a professional do it in couple of hours. Be very careful with the tiny and fragile hydraulic lines, if you break those, it would make the job much more involved and expensive.

The issue is with these convertibles, is, when I drive it in the summer they run very hot. So, when I leave it in my garage, Ill leave the back open. And that works fine. "BUT", if you leave the back sliding out (1st two seconds when you open it), before opening, and turn off the car and leave it like that. It throws something off, confuses the computer, and you get the warning, cannot operate soft top. If this happens, if you lift the back up manually, by the rear window, be careful of the roof, and place it back down, it usually resets, and your good. If you want to leave it open, to cool off, fully open the rear and leave it. Wait the next three seconds when pushing the button!!! Its scary when your on the road, and you get that failure.

First lower all of your windows
Unlock the top using the soft top tool (front lock)
Release the hydraulic system (a half turn should work)
You should be able to manually lift the top (rear wings)
Unlock rear bonnet(lift and pull back gently)
Tilt up the front of bonnet(you may need a assistant)
Fold top down into the compartment
(This is where I lubed the bonnet latch)
After you close up everything with the top folded away in the compartment and the bonnet closed and locked.
Make sure you tighten up the hydraulic release. ( do not over tighten just snug)
When you go to put the top back up check your voltage to see that the voltage climbs above 12v before you close the top.
Good luck I hope this helps

Ok, so I finally found the pump but I took a different approach. I removed the plastic cover on the outside of the car that covers up the emergency roll bar units...the ones that pop up out of the car in an accident. I then drilled a 2" hole through the top of the aluminum plates that are welded between the two units.I did this on the passenger side as close to the safety bar as I could. I now have access to the pump if I need it. This is only a 1/16" piece of aluminum and is in no way structural and it gets covered up by that plastic piece when all is done. This turned a 4 hour job into a 15 minute job. Hope this helps others.

Can Someone Please help me!?😃🙏
- When I drove in about 50-70Km/h. today, Suddenly the roof on the Lp560-4 was start coming up(Have the Smart Top/Mods for cars installed, so it Can go Up and down even when you driving.)

When noticed that I immediately hit the brake and drove the car aside.

At first everything was looking like it was going to work as it usually does, looking in the rearweiw-mirror,
but I then noticed that the lamp on the dashboard ,that are showing when you top on and of the car, was not stop blinking, and that the hood does’nt went all the way down!

I try to reverse it,by hiting the mid controlbutton for it, but it get stucked in a position as the image is showing. Than I try to fix it by releasing the back cover behind the seats and remove the Mods4Cars Module and every cables that comes with it..

Unfortunately I just tilt the back Cover forward, instead of lifting the whole wall out of the car..And know it shows:
”soft Top can not be used”
(When I tried hit the button that controlls the soft Top.)
As I read in this thread I might be trigged something that fools the cars Computer into some kind of safetymode.
But my Question Is: - How do I fix this, And Can I do it by myself?

As you see I let the car to be salvaged to my mechanic, We both looked for any kind of physical damage on the carparts related to the top and the hood - but couldn’t found anything!
- Please Let Us Know What To Do! 😅😃🙏

I had a failure during the lift operation at a traffic light. Turned out the triangular leather covered flap just behind the drivers door had come off and fallen into the hydraulic mechanism, rendering it inoperable until the piece was removed. Lamborghini dealer had to reset it. Look for any obstructions. Also, you said you added aftermarket top opening feature. Check this system for failure. Personally, I never run the hydraulic top unless the engine is running.

picture, pre-LP ?? Sometimes they stick things in catagories you would never expect on those parts breakdown 'schematics' . and keep your fingers crossed because sometimes you will find it pictured with a reference number and then it isn't even listed for a part# or price meaning Maybe (your not SOL yet, but you'll have to visit a Dealer)......... Other than a simple rear latch adjustment, my top issues thus far have all been due to low battery charge. Trickle charger has solved all that.

This is the best pic I have handy of the part I'm struggling to find - circled. It snapped off at some point and fell into the mechanism. Hood still managed to raise/ lower fine still - until the new issue with the rear window. I'm hoping you might be right about the battery being low and struggling to raise the rear window - thanks for the tip.

Wow, I see what you mean. I would never expect it to be so difficult to find that piece. I'm usually pretty good at this stuff but it's got me baffled this time around. Not even google pictures seem to exist for it. At this point my next step (before going to the Dealer) would be to see if I could get the other side off and try to pull a part# off it to get me trying to look that up and find the mirror image part# that way. I'm assuming it's the one on your driver side that's gone and you have no way to get the number

Ok, figured it out I think. They may not sell it as a separate individual part (unfortunately) you have to buy what they call the upper b-pillar trim..... There's a guy with a listing for a spyder and if you look at the 4th picture I believe you will see it.... S085 2008 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder interior Right b pillar trim 407871304b | eBay
He also has a Left side if that's the wrong one
WAIT - I see a part# for the flap ❗ --- 407871304B for RH
or 407871303B for LH

THOSE ARE PRE-LP (2008) so not sure
