Just seeing the mods, it throws red flag. Looking at the video you see a bunch of gaps between body panels. The most obvious is the hood in the first few second, check out right and left gap where it meets the bumper.

Where did you ever get that pic. from....... looks like an impound yard? that black car is missing headlights?

Hey, I can understand. You buy a Copart car when you want to build some outrageous custom. It makes sense to save a car and build it your way for about the cost of a good clean one........ and keep it.
But when it comes time to sell, Be honest.
The eBay listing deliberately circumvents the standard way you're supposed to list a vehicle. The seller didn't put the Vin# in the system because it would have gotten flagged by autocheck and the title issue would have been shown right away. Very easy for an excited buyer to 'overlook' that possibility if it says 'title - Clean' in it's
corruption, I mean description.

For those young dreamers out there, I'd just hate to see anyone make the same mistake I did.......
I was a teenager looking to buy my first Mustang and I found one just about 20% off the going rate at the time. I was naive and didn't really understand the concept of a Salvage title. In fact, I didn't even know the car I was buying was a salvage title until we were writing up the deal in the office and I'm signing the papers. The 'dealer' (some small outfit) turned to be a specialist in rebuilt Mustangs and Camaros, and assured me it was no big deal. It was a small accident and they fix them all the time so people can save money on their cars. Long story short - Problems. I went to sell maybe 3 years later and no one would take it as a trade. Worst car buying/selling experience for me I learned a hard lesson...... Here is a good link and even the very last line makes perfect sense ----
  • Prepare to buy for life. Salvage-title vehicles can be very difficult to sell. If you purchase one of these, be prepared to drive it until the wheels fall off.

My first 4Runner was a salvage, I didn't know anything about it until I had paid it in cash and was handed the title. At the time (pre internet) and being young it never dawned on me what it meant. I found out later the body work had very thick layers of bondo. Friends who were following me said the truck was driving sideways.

Oh right, front end in the first Copart auction in 7/2015...... then later in 12/16 it was back as the one listed in 1st post.

I’d like to Thank you and all the others for taking time out of your extremely busy purposeful life's to spread FALSE info, but being a businessman I guess you have to be ready for trolls.

I’m the current owner and will gladly clarify for those that would like to know the story with this car.

your title reads “Buyer Beware: ZHWGU11SX4LA01616 / eBay's messed up listings, NO full-disclosure, flat-out Lying about Title status”

no one lied about anything😂 it’s a clean Oklahoma title car! But you wouldn’t know that because you failed to reach out and find out. Clearly Trolling was more important and exciting for you.

I bought this car this way (modified) from a close friend and didn’t run a carfax (dumb move on my part) but I fully trust this guy.
I’ve helped with some of the upgrades throughout the years and also said when you’re ready to sell it I want first dibs because the car looks and sounds awesome!

I received a clean Arkansas title upon purchasing the vehicle which I then Registered in Oklahoma and received a clean Oklahoma title. It wasn’t till I recently ran the vin on carfax that I found out it had a minor accident reported, and that it was previously listed as a total loss.

In the car dealer world that’s referred to as “previous total loss” which means or could mean that at some point this vehicle was wrecked and the owner threw a big enough fit that the insurance company totaled the vehicle and cashed him out. Doesn’t necessarily mean the accident was bad just that the previous owner wanted to cash out and walk away rather than repair and keep the vehicle.

To prove my point, if you run the carfax it shows a MINOR accident reported And the airbags were NOT deployed.

No one is trying to hide anything and no one lied about anything. My assistant listed the vin number in the eBay ad and the vin is also listed on my website which is also listed in the eBay ad for anyone that’s actually interested in purchasing the vehicle, people usually do their due diligence when buying this type of vehicle, any by running a carfax and reading through all the details they would have realized everything I mentioned here.

even trolls like you all with nothing better to do with their dull lives and no intention of buying the vehicle could have noticed that had you taken the time to actually look, but I know, being a troll is more exciting for you. I feel sorry for you guys! Seriously it’s sad, there’s so much more you can be doing with you time.

I could post the carfax and title here for everyone to see, but I won’t, you can spend money and pull one on your own 😂

This post probably makes me sound arrogant, I’m actually a pretty nice guy unless you’re a troll then yes I’ll speak to you in the way that suits you.

Happy trolling.

Sorry you don't know the difference between a troll and a whistleblower (you can google them now)
Sorry no one taught you the concept of ... 'Honesty is the best Policy' (per circumventing eBay listing policies)
Sorry your comments are now public knowledge (the tone of your answers speak volumes)

On the bright side, SOMEBODY will buy it...... not everyone cares what kind of history a car has, but what it is Now, and that's got a lot. It wouldn't make any sense to take a clean title car and butcher it up like that, but it makes perfect sense to do it to one that's already taken a huge devaluation due to 'issues'

oh so now you’re a whistleblower? 😂 maybe if any of the crap you mentioned was factual, but it’s not. You’re a troll, not a whistleblower 🤣don’t give yourself too much credit.

honesty is always the best policy, no one is circumventing anything, we provide carfax for free to actual customers.

No one asked nor does anyone care for your opinion on what a person does to their car, it’s none of your business, to each their own. I own 6 Lamborghini’s at the moment, some completely stock, some modified. Want to critique those too? 😂

You think I care if this is public knowledge? I have nothing to hide 😂 I’m nice to everyone, till they show me they need to be treated differently, go cry about it in your 2011 spyder, then troll some more.

Hey everyone…. I have a minor question….
If a minor accident involved the vehicles ebrake not working, which caused a parked vehicle to slowly roll into a lake, would that be classified as a minor accident? More importantly, should we care if the airbags didn’t deploy? Not saying this happened to the vehicle in this thread. Just asking a hypothetical question.

Sincerely
Angel

Regardless of the vehicle, I can tell from the comments that this is a seller I would not buy a vehicle from and would encourage others to avoid as well. With that said, circumventing the auto check is an automatic flag to avoid the vehicle altogether.

I just got a PPI on an H that had a perfect carfax and yet the ViN plaque was missing on the car door and multiple pieces had been painted. Carfax has little importance to me these days.

Yikes! Arkansas

Omar Kabani said:

Arkansas allows owners to register flooded cars with a clean title if the car is at least seven years old at the time it was flooded. This should give prospective used car buyers pause since it means that any used car for sale in Arkansas that is older than seven years could be a flooded car.

Buying and fixing up a flood titled car can be very risky. Here are regulations the state of Arkansas has in place for registration and use.

Hey, everybody knows there are 3 or 4 salvage history Gallardo(s) on eBay (right now).....
I have said not one word about them.
WHY ? because there's no controversy. They're honest listings and who can argue with that ??
