I thought it was a show at sea world in San Diego 😝.

On the topic of Crypto, I’m excited for those who made a bunch of money during the run up. Same with the Stonks of Covid. I don’t foresee crypto coins going mainstream as a real currency or changing the world of money and I don’t think those Stonks of Covid will last either. Just my opinion.

smart contracts might make some shifts in markets. I’ve see the power of them with mortgage lending - nice being able to fund loans 24/7/365 without banker hours causing delays.

Today after the news that Musk sold the BTC owned by SpaceX the whole market dumped real quick and very noticeably. I think that soon we will test 20k mark. The only question is what suitable news will be chosen for that. Anyway I prepared my ownrwallet to get some coins.

Though I have personally no passion on the whole investment topic, I cannot reasonnably spend everything in supercars… …so….

…I decided to learn more and possibly invest in bitcoin, mainly because I have none and diversity is supposed to be a good investment strategy (I am ready to lose 100% of my investment).

So far I know almost nothing about this topic, very basic questions:
What should I know beside volatility?
Can I just download a random app from the appstore and buy $100’000 of bitcoin?

Thanks!

Wow, looks like in October 2023 a BTC was 35K, nice one!

The only thing that has changed for BTC, fundamentally, over the last 3 years, is the large amount of institutional investors and governments that have taken an interest in it. Tbh, I've seen similar predictions for so many years now, that it's really a losing bet. But, I set a calendar reminder for Jan 2025, with a link back to this post, just for fun.
Well, this aged well. @Hogdogfatkat

Any new predictions? Anyone buying?

It did age well @2Tired . I’ve been wrong a lot, but that’s because nothing fundamentally makes sense anymore. Bitcoin is going like crazy but that’s because you have institutions issuing debt to buy btc. Biggest Ponzi scheme ever! But I didn’t capitalize on it and am a fool for not following trends :-/. A lot of people making a lot of money, I’m not one of them lol.

Crazy bubble wow. Let’s say 210K top in late 2025, followed by a 70K btc in the bear market in late 2026 and then we will talk about the Q4 2029 top in Q4 2026 whilst it looks dead. Lets revisit this December 2025 and December 2026…

BTC today 102K
