I did a bit of work on mine this week as both of the lower outer tabs had broken away. The others were good, telling me a story that NVH seems to be worse on the lower outer mounts.

Sorry about the picture order, I had no control over that when I posted but you get the idea.

Had to break up the posts to get the images to load.
You can see that both lower outer tabs had gone, allowing the outlets to flop around.
First thing was to dremmel all of the remaining plastic away to have a flat surface to work from.

So it all went quite well. A fiddly job to get the angles right and all the holes in the right place with the bumper still on the car, but I managed it. The two rivets in the sides (through the yellow outer skin) were really long, like 25mm, as the inner plastic frame is really thick there so most of the strength will come from there with some weight support transferred to the lower under tray.

All rivets that went through the plastic had a large washer on the back side which was sandwiches against the plastic to spread the surface area. The 2mm alloy bracket was drilled to 4 x 0.70mm thread to take the factory machine screw, but there was sufficient length to also put a locknut at the back of the bracket that you get to be removing the two rearmost inner guard lining lower bolts, and then flex the plastic to pop a little 8mm spanner on that nut. So an easy access really.

Works really well, bolted up beautifully, no rattles and zero movement, so fingers crossed.

Cool info and thanks for sharing. Do you have the complete look with the grill back on?

Ok, Rob, excellent work! And I'm jealous of that Testarossa hatch with the tv behind it!

In the next few months, I'll have a bulk order of new aluminum skeletons for those that may need one. If you can't wait, Rob's solution is a great alternative.

Hi Jason

Do you know if anyone has ever actually received the aluminium skeleton from the seller? You’re referring to Fury AutoWorx right?

Delivery had been promised from June last year onwards..

Yes I do. He's a good guy and he works around the clock. This was a side project and like many myself that I have planned don't always get done when you think. Getting to the side project has taken way longer than planned. Some updates were made to perfect it. I have a customer in Australia with one. I'm not selling any until I have them here and it will help cut costs down for everyone in the USA thinking about the mod.

Was told I'd have it in the Fall. Was told I'd have it before Christmas. Never arrived. Said it was shipped. Can't provide tracking.

Reversed the charge and told him if it ever arrives I'd gladly repay. Never has shown up.

Spoke with the guy in Australia (only one to receive it so far?) and info out of him has been hesitant.

I am really sorry that it turned out that way, very off putting and such a blow to the community. The product was really promising and it didn't look far from being finished... shame that this went nowhere. The worst, however, is stealing from people... very sorry about what happened to you, RP1!

Hi everyone
I'm the guy building these things.
Firstly. Never stolen from anyone. If people want their money back they only need ask I'm not here to take anything from the community only provide for it.

It is indeed still on the move. Everyone involved knows of my struggles to get this right. I appreciate their patience. I'm one guy doing this in his spare time. I work approx 14-16 hours most days 6 days a week. Spare time is lacking but I can assure you I will get there. So far the people who have theirs have given me positive feedback which is reassuring for me and others

I'll never steal from anyone. All you need to do is ask for a cancellation and refund. Which the chap above didn't do. I'm not sure how I can be a thief if I'm never asked to refund? I cancelled his order immediately after being informed and refunded him that's all I'll say on the matter.

My biggest struggle is distribution /shipping. I had entrusted a friend with this who has screwed me twice now and I haven't heard from him since. So I've had to remake these. Thankfully Jason has offered to step in assist and he'll be the go to guy for these.

Thanks all for your time reading this. I've got 2 left to get into the US now and from there I'll hand over to Burtman industries

All the best
Andy
