Default Street Drag Radials

Hello all, just curious if anyone has had any luck with street drag radials. I am looking into mounting a pair on the rears only, on my 2011 LP. I only drive it on dry roads etc, never in the rain. I had really good luck with Nitto Invos on my previous R8, but looking into buying these Toyos. Anyone ever try these? Any insight on brand etc will be helpful.

I think those are the same times that Underground Racing uses on their TT Gallardo's and Huracans (if I recall correctly). You might want to reach out to LamboPerth here on the forums. He has a TT Gallardo and is a very helpful fellow!

That has been the UR standard tire for years, and I don't think there is anything else out there that will hook as well short of an actual drag tire. These are actually R compound tires made for road racing and not drag radials, but they hook very, very well in a straight line.

R888R is the best tire for a Lambo, period. Now buy them and go enjoy driving with the man light lit up on the dash.

P.S. My car had RE-71R's on it when I bought it, all those were good for was 60+mph AWD burnouts.

Thanks everyone for the information and responses. I think I’ll be ordering these for the rears.

I have 335/30/18 toyo r88r's on my 708 rwhp 996tt, When the temps are right the tires are insane. They are however a bit scary when cold... I think with awd they will be a beast.

They aren't considered drag radials. More of a competition tire for track. Drag radials are more like the Mickey Thompson's, M&H, etc.

However, the R888R tires are the best if you want superior grip, chassis strength (for high-speed runs) and stiff sidewalls for pulling G's in corners. I run them on my built GT-R. It only breaks traction when it's cold. I driven them in rain and they are fine if you're just cruising along safely, but definitely not good for standing water.

If you want true drag radials, go with Mickey Thompson. Squished sidewalls allow for more contact patch when accelerating from a dig. Not good for pulling hard corners though.

dont put mickey tompsons on a damn lambo, these cars are built for circuit racing. r888r are the best tire since they are great for circuit and still almost as good as drag radials in drag racing.

Haha true. Guess I was just saying that MT's are true drag radials versus the R888R. But the R888R is also good for drag (fun only and not real comp) as well.

How loud are the R888R's as far as road noise is concerned?
