Default Video of me snapping pinion gear

Glad to hear it was relatively minor.

I remember one of the local guys up here did the same thing to his early D.

If I remember right, the repair shop was able to R&R the unit insitu. ( engine trans stayed in the car).

Hopefully you’ll be on the road soon.

btw. Even if it would be something in gearbox, those are almost always fixable, so you do not change gearboxes like you would any other car; it is expensive and eventually you loose "maching number" from you car with case where number is stamped. Diff ratio is also stamped to oil sump left side from diff.
Now that your diff is swap, remember to change oil after some driving, new diff will grind metal as they find their position.

Yeah, it should all be fixable. Agreed.

My car is as far from original as you can get. So not too worried about that. ha.
