Question Surge protector for battery tender- needed or not?

About to put my car in storage until next spring. It's at a relatively new climate controlled warehouse for cars. Will be bringing my battery tender and plugging it in there. I will also be flipping the power switch in the engine compartment off. Is a surge protector needed for battery tender or should it stop surges inherently?

The one you use has short circuit & reverse polarity protection which is similar to surge (voltage spike) protection. You don't need another surge protector IMO.
