Default What Happens When Your Car Needs a Part?

Haven't been driving my car as much because of the coronavirus and the terrible situation in Italy. Haven't really had any issues to speak of. But I know Lamborghini doesn't have a US parts warehouse in the states. Not to mention the dealers that do have/carry minimal parts are not hooked up to a nationwide network (so I'm told). You'd literally have to call each dealer to see if they have the part that you need. My concern is if something breaks and a part is needed. Are they still shipping parts? If not - it could be six months or so waiting if not longer. Same goes I'd assume for Ferrari as well.

There is a US parts warehouse in the states and I am hooked up with just about all the dealerships to locate parts as needed anytime if you need something. The factory is on a skeleton crew at the moment shipping out urgent orders only and catching up on stock orders as time works for them. They are and have been always faster than Ferrari getting parts out of Italy. It usually only takes a week to get regular orders in on common parts from factory but right now expect a couple weeks as they work through this outbreak. Feel free to reach out if you need

Dealership couldn't get the parts from Italy for a small oil leak picked up during a recent 4 year annual service. Dealer kept the H for 3.5 weeks and let me toot around in an A5 sportback. Due to the leak's potential location, it's a big job involving dropping the gearbox so Lambo wanted the dealer to troubleshoot the issue first and rule out other causes. Service manager finally called and told me to pick up the car as it was OK to drive and that she had no idea when the parts would be available. I bought an extra quart of OW30 for safe keeping, car drives perfect and the leak never left a mark on my garage Racedeck floor.

My Evo needs a part for a warranty repair. Is that something you can help with? Iím not sure if or when the part will come from Italy. It was ordered last week but who knows...

Actually my part came in today, 3/25/2020, about a week after it was ordered. Iím not sure whether it came from Italy or somewhere in the US but I am pleasantly surprised.

I think most warehouses in Italy are closed from March 25 due to mandatory lockdown.
