I'm not enough of a web techy to know what all that means, but fortunately I discoved the issue almost immedietly and after a few hours of emails and phone call (on a Sat. Night) was able to get our Support Personal to make Emergency Changes and Repairs.

My main Priority was to get the site back up and running, so I haven't had time to investigate how it was hacked and taken down.

If any members think they can help plug the Security Leak, I'd be happy to hear from them. Obviously this was a planned attack on a weekend to cause the most possible down time and damage.

Any help appreciated!!!

Well the post and PN's of yesterday were lost, but this is a small problem, the main thing: Lambo-Talk is still up and running...

it appears some of the threads are missing. I posted a couple involving door shocks and a front hydraulic issue. Answers were received on both and i was just going back to review the info on the front hydraulics again. I checked inthe V12 tech and did a complete search. nothing was found as of 15 minutes ago

The Hacker wiped out the entire site and we had to restore with a 24 hr old back-up.

They said you need a new door shock unless it's very cold in your area at the moment which does tend to make the shocks weak because the gas is less effective in very cold weather. The shocks are inexpensive. Post a new thread and I or the other guys will help out. I can promise you that replacing a door shock is easier than restoring an entire 3 yr old website :)

I dont think it was an attack on the community, just some hackers trying their luck. This isnt a high-profile site, and probably wasnt very hard to hack, just an easy targer for an amature hacker.

I know I replied to a few threads and they're not there anymore.Good job recovering the site. Thanks for working hard to recover the site.
I don't understand hackers.Instead of spending their time and expertise into building something new, they spend it destroying things. What a waste of knowledge.

another forum that im on got hacked.
what happend was, the admin. didnt update with new security patch on php platform. you use bulletin platform. what they do is when they know a patch is in the works they go hunting for sites that use these different platforms.
so they go out and wreak havoc. they also like to pose as new members with admin rights. and members wanting this and that and inciting flame wars. its really easy to search and exploit these servers. and NO im not a info.tech. specialist nor did i do this crap. just fyi.

if this isnt the case, there were different paths that i found out to have caused these problems. just search......to damn easy.

good job on the recovery and lock this site down. :D

I couldn't agree more with you. Quite frankly, I don't understand the mentality of hackers, I bunch them in with the grafitti types who devote their entire life defacing public places/property and creating work for those who must clean up the mess.
