Thanks for the lead. Talked to them earlier this week. It's safe to say I won't be giving them my business. I'll leave it at that. Thanks again.
Go ahead and tell us more! Someone else was saying this car is absolutely perfect. The asking price is not out of line for a starting point on a post 03 gated.

So what's the beef?

I'm not one to air my grievances in a public forum.
In other news, I'm still kicking myself for not just buying the one you got from Mclaren. It ticked absolutely all the boxes for me and was at a reasonable price.
Forgot that we talked about that!

Well, the car is doing well. It enjoyed being a part of the 3 day Lambo Fest here in Houston just recently. It was fun having a police escort for all the Lambos going down the freeway at well over 100mph!

Painting those pre-05 calipers really brings them to life! I'm glad you're keeping it reasonably original and only making tasteful modifications. It looks like it definitely went to a good home. Enjoy it!

Thanks! And I agree about the calipers. But what makes the calipers look that much better was refinishing the rotors, which was a lot of work. But since I painted the parts of the rotors that build up the ugly rust, they should stay looking good after that major effort.

The ugly bolt heads on the rotor hats really ruin the look of these brakes too, so you may want to consider replacing those when you finally find your car. It's an easy/inexpensive swap.

I have plans to swap in LP640 carbon ceramics w/ silver Hemera wheels. It won't be cheap but it will definitely be worth it to me.

That will be a sweet upgrade! Eye-watering expensive, but nice!

Do you have to change anything other than the items at wheel like the master cylinder/ABS modules as well?

From my research so far, they suggest upgrading the master cylinder to get noticeable results. Didn't hear anything about ABS though. I'll be researching it more thoroughly when the time comes and I will be sure to do an in-depth write up for the forum.

Bump. Still on the prowl.
Ideal colors are yellow, white, silver/grey.
Will consider black, red, and blues as long as they are OEM.
Not interested in green, orange, or any non-OE colors.
Strongly prefer cars under 10k miles.

If you know people with murcis that meet these requirements, please put them in contact with me, even if their car isn't officially for sale.

No affiliation at all, but I saw on another board there is an '03 in dark green with 10k miles for $139k currently advertised on Boston Craigslist. If the car is clean, that's a really good deal, even with the "off" color. Definitely worth investigating at least.

Talked to them last week. I just can't get past the color :(
Thanks for the lead though!

Wrap it! That's a low price that gives you plenty of $$ room to wrap it in any color you want and still come out way ahead!

Also, these new removable spray coatings are getting amazing. One stopped by the car event this weekend and it was incredibly hard to tell it wasn't paint. Costs around $2K to have done, and the finish was even metallic. Looked perfect. I think it was Auto-Flex.

I can't quite bring myself to wrap it. That green one is pretty neat and definitely a decent price but the color kind of kills it for me. Still on the prowl - someone here needs to talk their friends into selling me their murci! It will be lovingly cared for. :hail:
