Earlier this year I placed a deposite of 50K with one dealer and 25K with another dealer for EARLY delivery of a 05' ROADSTER. Neither one nor the other KNEW I had order from the other. I had EVERY intention of custom order one to KEEP and one to SELL, make a couple of bucks.!!

Neither DEALER asked, nor did I tell them I was going to do this. Being in what Lamborghini of North America calls a "Non-territory" area, I am free to order from WHAT ever dealer I want and ANY deealer can sell to me without stepping on an area owned dealer. (Of course this will change in May 05 with the opening of new dealer in Seattle/Bellevue area).

Early September BOTH dealers within days of each other took my build specifics. Both within days advised the money had been forwarded to Lambo-Italy. Both advised MY car was under production and would arrive here approx 2nd to 3rd week in November. GREAT!!!

Well this week BOTH dealers found out that I had ordered from the other, I assume from LAMBO when they saw the same BUY order name twice. Maybe building car 3 and 4, (LOL, he he).

Both dealers inquired as to what I was going to do with the car. The dealer in which I placed the custom order for ME, I stated I was keeping the car, He said OK and was happy. He also was told I would be selling the other dealers car.

The other dealer upon telling him that I was planning on selling it with in days of delivery, stated that if he knew this he would not have sold it to me. He stated that he was only getting the ONE car till another one came in round 2 in the spring.

He further stated that HE STUCK out his neck to get me this car in the OUT OF TERRITORY area, and that Lambo would not be happing with me JUST turning the car at a premium.

He has since asked me to take my deposite back, and allow him to sell the car to a waiting customer in HIS territory for the same FULL MSRP that I aggreed to pay.

I really DON'T need the money, just thought for once instead of PAYING a premium I would get a piece of the cake! I am led to believe that if I do not except his offer of taking back my deposite that our relationship, ( which has been very good), would be strained.

What do you all think?

WHAT WOULD YOU DO????????????????

I think it depends on the past behavior of the dealer. Is he the type of dealer that takes his customers for all they are worth or does he always sell at MSRP even though he knows can get more because every one else is. If he treats his customers well he should be treated well, and if he doesn't then you need to decide if you are going to punish him in his pocket book or show him how good people do business.

Doug is spot on to my reply!!!

After untold years of drought how dare a dealer act holier than thou???? Lambo is far from being out of the woods yet , where the hell are the parts and service??????????????????????????

Anyone buying the 12's should be treated with utmost respect???????????

What a crazy conversation!!!

As far as your 'problem' is concerned.

I think I'd keep Lamborghini happy with me. You never know when you
may need it in the future.

I had another question.

I'm new to this group. Any info on the new Lambo dealer in Seattle in
May 05?

Thanks!
