I still don't know the right answer, but there are I believe 10-11 installments of this primer on oil. I went somewhere in between the two you mentioned for my last change. Motor Oil 101

So I’m resurrecting this thread. I have some AGIP I bought in bulk (sealed bottles) about 3-4 years ago. Would you still use? Btw I used rotella 5/40 before I bought this and had a good oil analysis.

Why not? If sealed, I would think it's good to go. Still have your FGT?

The only reason I can think of as to why it might be bad, is if there’s additives in it. Maybe those additives might degrade over time????

I would think the oil/additives breakdown with heat and friction. It's only been sitting in a bottle for a few years. I'm sure the stuff you get at the parts counter for your other cars has been in storage in a box for just as long. Could be wrong though.....
