Full disclosure, I have not owned either color, and I agree they look very similar. Of course, choose what color you like best but Mantis looks great to me.

I thought Mantis was $9600. So Selvans should "only" be $4400 extra.

If ordering a car and waiting a long time, I would definitely go with Selvans. It has a strong pearl effect. It really pops in the sunshine.

I like Mantis also. If I found a car in stock that was Mantis, I would have considered it.

Good question. I will ask my guy. I assumed it was because it was under the "basic" selection of colors.

selvans has more goldish flake in the color more elegant

 

Both colors are pearls, and both look great. Mantis has more yellow flakes and Selvans as mentioned has more gold flakes.

 

What colors are you guys doing on the interior ?

 

I was just going black with the quitira throughout - green stitching, green bull on headrest. basically kermitizing the entire car

 

Only white, black, silver, are free. I feel like selvans is a slightly deeper Ithaca. I personally love it.

 

I spent a long time hunting down pictures and videos online of these two colors back in May when I placed my order.

I ultimately went with Verde Selvans. My concern with Verde Mantis was that it was too flat or plain at times. I was worried about the level of gold flake in Selvans (and at the dealer I thought I actually preferred Mantis), but in every video I've seen Selvans looks great.

*Editing to add I still haven't received my car. It looks like my order was the earliest car to get hit by the sport seat shortage, as other May orders seem to have already arrived. Mine is expected to get here next February.

I had a mantis 580 and I’m absolutely getting a Selvans RWD. It’s really lustrous.

This is really making me want to change from my Blu Lemans to Verde Selvans

 

Selvans on top. Mantis on the bottom. It doesn’t show but mantis does have flake. Can’t go wrong with either color.

 

I ordered a Selvans and was originally interested in the Mantis. Selvans is essentially the Mantis paint but they add an extra coat of paint to give it more depth and gold/glittery shine. The dealer should have the above panel samples for you to look at and you can really see the difference.

 

@3POINT8 If you haven’t checked out Instagram you should do so. Do a search for the two colors and you’ll get a ton of great pictures. I’ve used IG for most of my color research. Fwiw, I vote VS!!

Selvans is an attention grabber. Mantis is more of a solid green that doesn’t pop as much.

 

The prominent flake in Selvans as evidenced in post #24 is quite attractive. OP , sounds like you made a decision. Enjoy!

 

Verde Selvans is new, unique and gorgeous. For the extra 4K you can’t go wrong.

 

I have owned a 610 and Perf in Verde Mantis...love it...I will probably get that colour on the next Lambo ( I know.... I'm boring )

 

Can you get Verde Mantis or a close equivalent from AdP in matt? I think that would look great as well.

Seeing them side by side in the daylight I would agree Mantis looks pretty cool, and it would be my preference but, as we all know, I am a not so recovered colour addict.

 

I still like Verde Ithica the best of all.

 

Agree..I had that on my SL570.4...I wanted it buy it was around $30K AUD more than Verde Mantis

 

Not to change the subject but what does everyone think about Q-citera interior?

 

Not to worry it's your thread. I think Q-Citura looks fine are you interested in speccing it on an Alcantara or leather interior?
My personal opinion, I would prefer not to have Q-Citura on my leather interior/seats from a detailing perspective. It would make detailing a little more challenging, that is, keeping your leather cleaner off all that stitching. Though, if that doesn't bother you Q-Citura does look decent.
