Hi, does anyone know if there is a difference between US and Canadian dash icons? I'm looking at purchasing a Canadian spec HP and the DOT here needs to see a picture of dash with the lights on to see if any of the icons (light's, brakes etc) are in a Canadian spec? DOT said if so, the cluster would have to be changed and I personally don't want my new to me Lambo torn into. Thanks for any info, Jim

No problem. I imported my Performante from Canada. The only thing is the odometer (total miles) cannot be changed, It will read in kilometers. Every thing else can be converted. It’s simple, your owners manual has instructions. I would recommend you have the conversion made before taking any pictures.
One more thing, the import rules/regulations are complex. I would recommend hiring a broker to handle the logistics. I did and it was seamless.
PM me if I can be of any assistance.

Great!!! Yes I’m currently working with a broker/shipper there and here to help guide me, he’s the one that asked for pics of dash, he also said emissions stickers would have to be changed too possibly? I tried getting the letter from Lamborghini but they wouldn’t give it to me as I don’t clown the car, said dealer has to get it from them. If I have any other questions I’ll gladly reach out, thank you, Jim.

FYI, I worked with Roy at Cats Exotics. We never had to go through what you are experiencing. No pics, no letter from Lamborghini, no emissions questions. This was in 2019 but I can’t imagine things have changed. Car was delivered to my door.

Was your car already a US car that happened to be in Canada? If so that’s why, all Canadian specked cars need letter from Lamborghini to be exported to US

No. It was a Canadian car. The sticker on the door identifies it as a Canadian car. They added a sticker that certifies to US specs. That’s BS!

Hmmmm, so this was in Seattle when you worked there? I’m in Buffalo NY and NY sucks for everything lol
Cat’s Exotic must have handled the letter and paperwork.

No I live in Ohio. Cats handled everything. Car was shipped to Seattle where it was held in quarantine for 30 days until all paper work and inspection were cleared and then shipped to me. Cats actually purchased the car and I got a clear title from Cats. I did pay cash so that made it easier.

Gotcha, yeah I’ll be financing it but I was told even if cash sale I still need this. Either rules changed or it’s NYS at its finest. I’ll keep all updated if sale goes through. It’s exactly what I’m looking for.

Total mileage can be swapped in about 2 minutes with the proper Lambo reader.

Well I have the picture of the cluster and submitted to DOT and they said it’s no good for US, said parking brake light must say Park or Brake, P with a circle is not valid for the US? Can anyone post pics of their US spec cluster with parking brake on so I can show him no difference? Keeperdean can you post yours as well?

Unfortunately, my car is in winter storage and I can’t get to it.
IMO what you are being forced to go through is total BS!

I agree, it’s turning what should be a happy process (dream) into a turnoff. Hopefully some others with post pics of their Canadian spec cars in the US and or just plain US spec vehicles clusters so I can see and then show this guy.
