I don't know about the US market but Canadian dealers are in the dark. I believe more information will come out next week as the factory is fully up and running. So do we know, within reason, when the Perf will start production so we can forecast when they should be landing State side?
My SA pleads the 5th.
Sounds about right because I was told first customer Perfs arrive in Feb/Mar.Not given any dates yet. I’m told I’m in a good position so hopefully sooner then later. Seems like dealer orders first. I have a feeling spring time time for customer orders
I was thinking the same, better ride quality but after seeing this picture of the 22's I decided to upgrade to the 23's. In my opinion the design is too open and makes the wheel look smaller than it is. These wheels don't look good on a large SUV.My dealer told me 22” better for resale and better ride. And no issues getting tires. Big backlog getting 23” tires.
From what I remember is once your order is "scheduled" you can't change it. I believe you have a around 30 days from the date your order is submitted to make changes.I never changed my order on my current car. How far can you go into the allocation and still make a change?
I heard after a certain point, if you want to make a change, you have to pay a $2000 fee?
Needs the carbon hood.
I assume this is the S?If you choose a bright color, you need a full carbon package for sure.Other reason is that will be similar as look with Urus S on the front, which is version without carbon, but they have the same layout on the grill as design. If I can I will share something before the premier
Sounds like another Tecnica, orders were open for a few weeks before Lambo stop accepting orders. Makes sense because the U is going hybrid in 2024 so there's not much production time to produce the S & Perf.Spoke to my dealer. Looks like spring time for me. I have a feeling it’s going to be may ish / or very early
June. Seems like that’s every lambo for me. Still
early for customer ordered cars, especially with this waitlist. Just feels like eternity.
to add, my dealer was also told from the factory to stop accepting orders for the perf
Similar wait because the H replacement arrives in 2024 as well and I assume the Perf only makes up 25% maybe 30% of the total U production run until 2024 hence why orders might have closed.Well, it's just around 1.5 years between them. It's much longer wait between Tecnica/Sterrato and the Huracan replacement.
Or maybe a Kia...To your point my wife thinks it’s a VW. The new Ferrari will not be mistaken for anything other than a Ferrari.
It's not ideal to put PPF on a repainted car because it can be baked at proper temps. Factory paint is good to go from the moment it leaves the factory. There is no FULL factory PPF... “protects the most sensitive body panels of the vehicle”. So hood and front fenders and mirror caps. That’s why it’s cheaper.
No to mention, it’s not ideal to put PPF on fresh paint (so I’m told).
How many allocations is your dealer receiving?I provided my $30k deposit today and my dealer told me the order will be validated on Monday and should be accepted in a week. Production is shedulded for Dec and my delivery is expected for March, I will be receiving the first customer Perf. I also opted for the full factory PPF, much cheaper than getting it done locally.
Aftermarket PPF will always be superior but I guess if you're buying to flip the factory PPF is probably good enough.Even my dealer said don’t get the factory PPF, expensive for what it covers. I think it was $7200 for FULL professional PPF install on my Urus. Every inch of paint is covered with PPF, even the roof. Look at xpel web, just for the pre-cut pieces it costs that much, then add labor on top. I wouldn’t skimp when it comes to coverage.
The exposed carbon bonnet is unique to the Perf which is why I'm getting it.Two things I noticed in the Shmee video was the bonnet is carbon but you can have the option of exposed carbon on top.
The Urus in the video did not have a carbon engine cover. I know this is probably a waste of money on cars where you can't see the engine through glass. Does anything have an opinion on this option?
