F8 sounds horrible....to put it nicely. The 488 was on the fence sound wise....F8 just crossed the line for me personally. SF90 is a joke sound wise as well.....Pista is the only Ferrari in the past 5 years that sounds acceptable for a 'super car' from Ferrari. It has the volume & non muffled sound, but still not nearly on the level as the Huracan/Aventador.

So there's 900 Sterrato's staying in the EU and supposedly 500 coming to the US which means Canada will probably get 20 or so cars. Compare that with around 100 Tecnica's for Canada so yes, the Sterrato will be more limited and it's the only H variant which is been marketed as a limited production model.

If you want a collector car with a gas powered engine, buy a classic muscle car. There are several commanding prices as high, if not higher, than exotics… and because of their age, it’s highly unlikely for laws to ever hit them. You can bet your tail there will be (additional) laws passed for gas powered vehicles 30 years or newer when the gov decides to get rid of gas/petrol - assuming they don’t change their mind when they continue to see that the infrastructure cannot handle all electric vehicles. Classics are basically grandfathered. You don’t even have to wear seatbelts in some US states if the seatbelt wasn’t a factory option at the time.

With all due respect, sterrato wasn’t part of the Ops post and was brought into the conversation. So I’ll bring an additional possible vehicle into the conversation as well, since the op is not just asking about production numbers, but about an appreciating asset/collector car. My post made more sense about a collector car than a sterrato post.

Stupid question but if there's going to be around 1400 Steratos and the sterrato is limited production doesn't this mean Lamborghini will need to produce more then 1400 technicas. So would this mean 2800 cars all together roughly

2. Production numbers is only a portion of the Ops post
3. Op not only asked about production numbers but purchasing a vehicle that would be a collector with the presumed assumption of appreciation.
4. discussion around the last NA engine, which has little to no relevance, see #5
5. The last (most recent) NA production vehicle doesn’t matter if it’s not grandfathered in for laws; thereby removing it from being a near-term collector car, unless you leave it in a storage facility for 40 years.

The STO is most likely more profitable than the technica… they could make more to take advantage of that…

Example: my dealer has 20 tecnica for the entire run. Some will be 2023 and some 2024. They then assign those to customers throughout the next two years. All are spoken for and the waitlist is 50 deep at this point. So as people post “I got an allocation” it doesn’t mean factory is producing more cars than planned. It just means they’re making the cars they already promised to the dealers.

As far as STO goes i was at an esperienza event and a higher up told me the original ceiling was 800, then due to the demand they made it 900, then 1200, and now 1500. He said they will not raise it higher because they do not want more STO than performantes out there.

Having owned 3 perfs I did ask for perf production number in which I was told 1600ish coupe and 350 spyders

This is very interesting and exactly what I’m thinking. I talked to my guys over at Lamboghini and they told me they are fazing out all other Huracan variants and will produce mainly Tecnica and Steratto and since there are not Aventadors being made, they will produce additional Huracan.

So we could see

1499 Steratto
1600 Tecnica

from now until May 2024. Keep in mind a few other Huracan Variants may be in the Tecnica mix. This would mean the CEO of Lamborghini was right about the there not being many Tecnica. Slightly more than the Steratto but not small enough to be Limited. This makes around 3100 total cars from now until 2024.

I basically got every option I could that I wanted, including painting my door handles red. The livery roof was $12k I believe and my paint Bianco Apollo was $15k. I also added to forge wheels at $20k I believe and more livery and sport packages etc. It adds up really fast 😅

The back this, my dealer told me today that they will get 200 new cars next year. I assume Lamborghini informed them of how many allocations they will receive to select from builds etc.


The Tecnica is a transition car and I’m a bit shocked that they are making so many Steratto and it’s a 610. I wonder if they’re just getting ride of those extra 610 engines from the R8 and other variants 😂🤣.

I understand what you are saying but the factory does give out more allocations through out the year..

They are giving out extra STO allocations for 2023 so are still pushing them to dealers to spec.. in addition. Even some in place of técnicas from what i have heard from some of the dealers

You are correct most dealers have way more técnicas than allocations they will get. They get them based off volume so top 5 dealers will get more.. and when people get “validated” then they will go into the system for build date …. Some cars lately have been validated then invalidated due to constraints on materials… so if the factory promised a hypothetical 200 cars but can only produce 150 they will not deliver them and the dealer has no recourse and nor does the customer.

Obviously they will produce as many as possible..
