Has anyone installed 255/40-17 tires on the front of an early 2wd Diablo? Michelin makes a PS2 for the rear but the closest size for the front is the 255/40. They do make a PS-4s in the 245/40 size but it a different tread pattern from the PS2. Would rather have the same tire model front and rear.

255/40 -- 25" diameter, 7.5" tread width, 10.2" section width, 831 revs/mile

245/40 -- 24.7" diameter, 8.3" tread width, 9.8" section width, 841 revs/mile

Ok, got the front tires in. Still waiting on the rears. Put the 255's on and they fit fine. A little taller, about 1/4". They are wider but do not rub anything. When the front of the tire is turned inward toward the middle of the car, that is where the closest clearance is. But there is slight clearance. All is good. So, the 255/40-17 Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 will fit on the front of a 2-wheel drive Diablo. I would not recommend them on a 4-wheel drive car because of the extra height over the 235's that are standard on that model.
