Here is why there won't be a V10 anymore:
1. The engine was maxed out, according to Lamborghini. They would have to start from scratch by developing/redeveloping a new V10.
2. R8 and R&D. Since R8 is dead there is no cost sharing, like it used to be. Thus they have to figure out how to share the cost (for example by using parts from existing models.)
3. Weight, performance and emissions. Why put an inferior engine in those regards when a TT V8 does the job better? (As seen with the McLarens and Ferraris. This is Lamborghini's chance at being the best in performance in that segment. By that time we will have a 296 Speciale and possibly 720S successor.) Remember they will be adding weight with the hybrid system, thus they need a smaller and lighter engine.

Revuelto trademark application was sent to US patent office Nov 29th:
It was trademarked in EU in May.

It makes a lot of sense for Lambo testing the 296 now as they are in the last leg of development of the H replacement.

On another note, I wonder why Ferrari was testing the STO in their facilities? It could be because they are developing a more extreme version of the 296 (i.e. VS?) sitting on top of the AF and they are benchmarking the STO's overall dynamic?
Indeed, judging by how the Ferrari test drivers drove it.

I think the relationship between Ferrari and Lamborghini is a lot better today than it has ever been before. This wouldn't have been possible, if it was 80s, 90s or even early 2000s.

I believe they will start with test drives after end of this summer.I heard the premier is planned for the second half of 2024
It's not out of reach of it debuting at Quail 2024.

I hope it's more fresh take on the design, rather than Sian or A replacement downsized/copy-paste.

Some very old renders, what I'm hoping for.

Oups - sorry about that... I have totally missed what the Asterion Consept was ...

Even if its indeed a good looking car - its nothing looks like a real Lamborghini to me... Those soft rounded lines are way too much Ferrari for my taste. Its like the designer forgot his ruler...
Man the memories of seeing Asterion for the first time... wish THIS was the Centenario. Ferrucio wanted to make the ultimate GT. This design with Aventador's V12 would have been perfect celebration of his 100 year anniversary.
Who remembers when Lamborghini was fidling with the idea to produce it? They had an Aventador with Asterion V10 hybrid setup.

Sadly they abandoned that project.

Here is my speculation/prediction.
We know already that H replacement will use the chassis from the Revuelto/A replacement, except it will be with scaled down front/rear overhangs. Probably switch-gear and some interior parts too will be shared. Otherwise it will be a VAG Group parts special. I'm 99% sure there is no more V10, only a 4l TT V8 hybrid incoming with ~850hp. Think that engine configuration will come from Urus Ibrido, while the rest of "technical" parts will come from Audi and Porsche.

Wait, so you've seen the new Huracan 2 years early?!
A lot is likely to change from now to release day I'm sure.
New infotainment is an obvious change they'll make.

With all that said, don't thinky mind/imagination can take speculating the new Huracan & Aventador replacements at the same time, haha!! Time to let this thread rest for about a half year😂.

V.
It likely debuts at Quail next year. Mitja has definitely done some sketches and even clay models with the team for Lambo8888 to see.

I personally think it will have proper headlights, rather than whatever front Terzo Millennio had.

I thought the Huracan was going out of production by summer of 2024, with the new model starting up after the summer shutdown? Do you think they're going to keep building the Huracan into 2025?!
Huracan replacement should debut by Quail 2024. Huracan production ends early next year.

Lambo8888 is referring to the other stuff I believe. Urus Ibrido, Revuelto derivitives and so on. 4th model, 2+2 GT EV debuts in 2028.

They are referring to the Motor Trend article which is based on assumptions. The only thing for certain is that it will have a V8 of sorts with Revuelto's e-setup and gearbox.
