I think it’s a protection wrap for during transportation. It’s indeed on both cars. I see often cars transported on trailers with such wrap on it…

I didn't even think of that, and now that you mentioned it that does look like wrap!

I think it is just wrap after a closer look.

Lol, I noticed the spider in front also had some stuff on the wheel well. Figured they couldn’t have crashed them both.

No harm, no foul. Initially when I looked at it I thought the rear fender could have been damaged.
