It's not for everyone, and the same goes for people who don't like stock cars.
A lot of design inspiration comes from the aftermarket industry, and ends up getting applied to future models. Vorsteiner has been one of the front runners IMO when it comes to their Aero programs, and it's obvious that manufactures are taking notes. McLaren sure did when they designed the 765LT.
At the end of the day people will do what they want without trying to please anyone.
