Lamborghini NA Customer Service contacted me and said that the factory has approved the replacement of both seats as they agree they are both have the leather defects. They have since found the root cause and implemented the corrective action. I'm really impressed with the Lamborghini customer service and how they're handling the situation. I did express my concern about the potential risk that the leather will wear much worse than any of my previous Porsches and asked if they could configure it with the Alcantara inserts.

This gives me hope. I'm going to look for a wrinkle in my infotainment screen and if I find one have them replace it with the older unit.

@Lambo8888 okay...now I'm jealous that I didn't go with the Alcantara center inserts... From the pictures you've posted, I have an outlier, of course they shipped the seats with cosmetic issues to the quality guy from Apple haha, I'm paid to detect and correct issues
@Lambo2018 I think with your seats being orange, it'll also hide the obvious wrinkles over time, great move on your part going with that color choice.

If you look here, the center V shape wasn't aligned well from the factory and not tight enough, thus the bunching up of the leather and why it feels loose in the wrinkled areas... nice quality control Lamborghini View attachment 309088

Lamborghini approved the Leather/Alcantara configuration for my replacement Driver and Passenger seats! Wait time is likely 4-6 months, which is fine with me, as long as the issue is resolved. Lamborghini's customer service acted swiftly and I'm very happy with the resolution to the issue. 👏

The seats finally arrived from Italy and during the 1st year service, they were able to get them installed. The seats look awesome and I'm super happy with the customers service from Lamborghini.

When I picked up my car, they also included a few travel bags for my wife and I. Very nice gesture by the factory to include them with the shipment of the seats. One thing to note, I was pretty worried about the seat install as with my Porsches, any major work done always resulted in other items being damaged. The team at Scottsdale Lamborghini took extremely good care of the car by covering all the interior leather panels with protective padding and the install was flawless.
