Hey guys,

Picked up my ‘new’ 2015 Aventador Roadster yesterday. Bringing it home, there is an awful gritty/grinding/rubbing noise when the steering is turned half to full lock. It’s as if the wheels are rubbing on something when manoeuvring.

The suspension and wheels are completely standard (21/20 Dione wheels).

Any ideas?

At low speeds awd will do this. My guess is normal. Can you post a video?

Google "tire chatter"
It's a completely normal phenomenon that affects these cars (mostly in cold weather). Absolutely nothing to worry about.

If this is happening when you are stoped lets say at a Junction and you turn lift or right and as you move off, you here noise ( grinding ) then i would say you need oil changed in your rear Diff.as i had the same in my Aventador last year with 11000 miles on the car.
If your not sure Go to your mechanic.

Just an update.

The garage from where I bought this from came to collect it to take it back to have a look at it. On driving the car, the driver said it is perfectly normal for 4wd cars (Huracan, r8, Aventador) and every car he has driven makes the same noise at low speeds/near full lock.
