Well folks I finally was able to crack the code with the help of Peter at VCDS with the SRI reset on STO. I channel mapped the instrument cluster on my 21’ STO and remaining modules not labeled, he was able to update the data and redirect file for SRI reset on STO. So now the full function SRI reset button works with a two step process. Follow the drop down menu after pressing the SRI button on main page. Perform SRI reset on 1/2 then 2/2 in drop-down menu, your service due light will be reset . Please actually perform a service to keep your car in its proper condition, This is for Ross Tech VCDS , update your software to most current…..;)) happy servicing your Huracan! My21 and up good to go!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻Thank you Ross Tech and Peter!!

ps. Tested. Tried and true on my 2021 STO- no more service due!

  • Then, After performing this press [Done, Go Back] when completed.
  • Turn the Ignition OFF. Now wait 10 Seconds.
  • Turn ignition back ON and proceed with Step 2.

Step 2:
- Press [SRI Reset] button and select:

"Service Reset - Step 2/2 (North America) or (Rest of World second service and later)"

  • Press the [Perform SRI] button
  • Press the [Done, Go Back] when completed.

Cycle the ignition, start the vehicle and confirm the Service Reminders have been reset.

Also from what Peter was saying channel (2) on the newer models is just a portion of the tpms system and there are many variable that will set the light reminder even if channel two has the correct value, that’s why it’s all done thru the SRI button now, it clears many variables that will set the SRI

Be sure you are using the latest version of VCDS, current version at the time of this email is Release 23.3.0.

Use this link below to download, then run the "VCDS Data Version updater" program.

https://ross-tech.de/downloads/upd

This program will install the latest data files for VCDS to include the file so that there should be now a label file for the [17-Instruments] controller.

Once the updater program is finished, you can start and use VCDS as normal.

Hey Sal, question

does entering minus 512 under (17) then (61) still remove the TPMS light, my sensors need replacing which I am ordering but in the mean time want to disable the light, also my other STO doesn’t even have TPMs with the drag radial setup I have. Thank much

100 percent!! I have been using this since 2018, and now it’s even better than ever. Of course I got this specifically for huracan and now with the updated it’s so easy. And will work with evo/Sto
I got mine years ago for my Audis where you could do many things with it on them, but have found there really isnt much you can do on Lamborghini with it. Have you found anything?

For me it’s all about diagnosis and maintenance. Being able to read the modules. Reset the SRI, that’s all I want out of it. Being able to troubleshoot my car on my own. It’s saves me a lot of time and money by not having to go to a dealer to sort thru an issue, or change my oil, or reset the SRi. .

But for people who don't want to spend that much a cheap reader will do all that except SRI. Good idea to keep one in car so you can use your phone and no need to carry a Laptop. I kept one in car but no longer need to since I upgraded to Hex-Net which. Connects over WIFI to Ross-tech App on your phone

No way,!! There is no way some obd cheap reader can do what VCDS can do. A standard cheap scanner can read readiness monitors and clear basic DTCs , that’s it, this can actuallly scan your entire vehicle, all the modules, adaptations can be adjusted. Measuring blocks of current values within every channel within a particular module. This is not some basic tool, this is a mega software that’s very powerful when utilized to its fullest.

You can do things with VCDS that only a dealer scan tool can do. I am not even touching the surface of its ability, although I only use it for a particular purpose, it’s very useful,

I totally agree it's a great tool. A little intimidating at first but the more you use it you will fully understand all it's capabilities. Plus there tech support is awesome.
