Those of you who de-catted, do you regret it in any way? Too loud?

Any feedback will govern if I entertain cars with de-cats.

Ok, after looking at endless hours of YouTube, I can see that Capristo catless is King of all AV exhausts. I'm working up the nerve to do it, but I know if I do, I'll probably never be able to ride around my small conservative town with the valves open even at low rpms. I'll most likely have to wait till I'm on the interstate.

Am I willing to sacrifice "when" I can hear my exhaust.......???
There is something to be said about respecting your neighbors with a loud exhaust at early morning start up.

Back to topic, de cat can increase the smell of your un burnt fuel.
I have read this as a smell of rotten eggs.

Our other member comments about the increase of flames from the tail pipes.
Personal I do not like to see a Lambo paint burned or the car itself on fire. LOL.

If tone is your desire over loudness, IMO I'd look to a hi flow cats install instead of a de cat or straight pipe.

Good luck in you project.

I haven't heard of anyone doing a "better cat" option. That could be either because the tone is not much improved or the availability. ???
decat
-increased HP(combined with tune)
-gas smell
-Extremely loud vs with oem cats
-Shoots big flames

oem cats
-no fuel smell
-restricted HP
-toned down exhaust sound.....adding a performance exhaust here has the perfect loudness level
decat
-increased HP(combined with tune)
-gas smell
-Extremely loud vs with oem cats
-Shoots big flames

hi-flow ("sport") cats
no gas smell
louder than OEM
no flames
happy medium between no cats and OEM
Fabspeed + Larini = :D

oem cats

I'm interested in the type of sound these "sport" cats create. Why aren't people going this route? Not as "F1"?

well you really need to know how many "CELs" are in the oem vs sport cats to know if its worth considering

Many people ARE going this route. The Fabspeed exhaust (with OEM cats) was an incredible upgrade, but I wanted more scream. Went to Larini hi-flow cats and it intensified the scream without becoming obnoxious and smelly (i.e., straight pipes).

The CEL issue is valid and you will need to add a pair of O2 spacers (~ $200 for a pair). I read that later MY pre-LP’s are more sensitive to aftermarket exhaust setups and mine is no exception.

On my G that’s exactly what I did. With the Aventador it’s same thing. Going to aftermarket exhaust will sound better but won’t change too much in loudness like high flow cats do. High flow cats are just about as loud as de cats but you won’t get the exhaust fumes when windows down, fumes in your garage and less dripping. I’m kinda anal with my car and I didn’t want to smell fumes with windows down Idling or in my garage.

If anyone wants the Larini high flows, let me know, call/text me at 717-319-2100. I’m a dealer for Larini and will help you out. They are pretty. Here are the ones on my car.

Are these Larini's pitch note just as good as the Capristo decats cause the Capristo decat setup is King of sound for the AV.

Also can these Larini's fit other mufflers beside Fabspeed?
With a decat, you get more flames and can have a Lamborghini barbecue. Flames never get old, especially at night.

Yeah I'm gonna do de-cat. With the AV being so behind in performance (except SVJ) with 2019 cars, you must have something that it is vastly superior in.....and that is sound.

Go Big or Go Home.... lol.

I think they’re awesome. I have them in my own car and can get any manufactures products. I’m talking about the Larini high flow cats.

Now, I may have misunderstood as I read your last reply again. Are you asking about straight pipe with not cats, i.e. “decats” or the high flow cats?

Doesn't matter. I'm gonna go cat delete.

Ok, got ya now. So, to finish answering your question, the Larini decats are straight tube replacing the Cats. The original cats have a fixed on aluminium shielding for heat management. The Larini decats are insulated with welded on Inconel shielding with a thermal insulation sandwich layer. And yes they are a direct fit bolt in replacement for the original cats so will work with ANY exhaust. IF you decide you want or order, call/text 717-319-20100 me anytime and I'll do what I can to help you out.

None. After I did it, I was like why did I even worry, lol. Sound is not that loud and the valves quiet it down to stock. And there's no gas smell or heating problems. And with the higher pitch for the V12, it's like no reason to not do it.

@Yellowcan, did you see that a lot of us are jumping on the Brilliant/Stardropper bandwagon? Kratos should have his any day now. If you haven't ordered yet, you might check them out, there's a few threads about it. Mine should be here in a month.
