UPDATE AFTER INSTALL:

Ok, I've had the radiator grills installed a few weeks ago and I want to report back my findings and preliminary experience thus far.

To summarize, the kit consists of three separate radiator grill inserts. Center piece is rectangular and flat metal mesh painted black. It is not rigid but mildly flexible and can bend (read below). Be careful handling the sides as they are sharp. The side pieces are modified versions of OEM radiator shrouds with added metal mesh in place. Basically hard black plastic shroud with metal mesh in the middle. The added metal mesh is fixed in place with black looking rubberized material that seems durable, there was no looseness in mine.

The items arrived in two separate boxes with the smaller flat center piece in one box and the larger (bulkier) side pieces in another box. Packaging was adequate although there was a bent corner for the center piece. It was able to be bent back into shape relatively easily by hand.

Installation was done by Lamborghini shop. The look is near OEM which is to say you wouldn't notice it unless you were looking for it. The black color keeps the pieces stealthy and blends into the Style package black painted pieces in the front. There is a short distance from the mesh to the radiator itself for the side pieces. I like this since it provides an additional buffer from damage. If the mesh were to bend such as from a huge rock, it would not immediately impact the radiator itself. The fit is tight and coverage is excellent over the entire radiator. The holes are small though. Quite small. Meaning the mesh density is high. This probably means protection from even smaller pebbles and rocks and insects. The only drawback I can see from this is that cleaning the radiator is going to be more challenging. Previously I would take a set of surgical pick-ups (basically fine tip tweezers) and manually remove all insects, debris from the radiator fins carefully avoiding damaging or bending any of the fins. With the mesh in place, this is going to be much more challenging and probably not possible. Still, I suspect there will be less reason to do this type of cleaning since less "stuff" should make it through.

The manufacturer has stated that there should be minimal decrease to cooling efficiency of the radiators. I do not have a way of proving or disproving this yet as I've only done city, highway, and back roads driving, no track driving. I have no noticed any change to temperatures of oil and coolant. Or the AC system.

And while the mileage driven since installation hasn't been a lot, I've not noticed any damage to the radiators since installation. I feel more empowered to drive on regular roads and worry less about rocks. I suppose this peace of mind is what I am paying for and I am happy with that.

I look forward to my next rally where I can finally drive behind someone with sticky tires and not have to stay a mile behind them.
