Tried searching the forums to see if there was any existing advice but there was none to be had.

My 04 G has developed a leak from the right side of the steering rack.

Has anyone had this happen and fixed it without replacing / rebuilding the entire rack?

What I really want to hear is "oh, yah, I had the same problem and fixed it in 16 minutes."

LHD drive car, daily driver, 16,000 miles...

Thanks!

if the leak isn't much, you can try using an additive to stop it.

otherwise, a new rack isn't that bad. it's just $2-3k.

There are shops out there that rebuild them for a few hundred bucks. The one in my Diablo was leaking years ago, had it serviced instead of buying new... worked out fine and never had another problem with it.

Since you are daily driving it, I would spend the money and get it rebuilt or replaced so you can enjoy the car and not think about it!
