Having a look on line, its crazy what people are asking for these cars, are the really selling for 100 over list? Some I see are well into the 400's, just under 500 in more than one case. I know they are limited in numbers but this is crazy.
Just thought I'd put this out there, see what you guys think. Maybe its just wishful thinking and they aren't selling.

Jr had a brand new 2006 m5 ….kept for a while and sold.
A couple years back bought a other m5 and kept for a year and sold.
Both were SMG…I would say manual would be great.
In Canada we are blessed with luxury tax, which adds an additional 10% to the car on top of the 13% over the cost of the car. Personal tax rates at 51%. New car dealers, if they ever get stock will be in an all out war with the used car market. Its going to be messy imo.

Is the tax rate progressive? Does someone making 40k a year pay 51% as well? Or is this the top tier tax rate?
Progressive. Starts around 20% but by the time you get to 250 onwards your around 50.

Example
Car cost 350k
Add 13% then add 10% for luxury tax
Then add 50% to this for personal income tax, which you had to pay in order to afford the car.

Cost out of pocket with all taxes approx 650k

Yes, tax on tax on tax is common unfortunately all around the world. At least you're only paying 23% in tax for the car, here in PR the tax is 40%. $250k MSRP car is $350k out the door. 11.5% sales tax on everything,
used car market is strong in Canada due to luxury tax. 23% tax on a new car (i’m over simplifying here) vs 13% if used

That will certainly play a role in used car sales no doubt about it. Dealers will try to combat this by playing with inventory levels.
The Canadian rates rival the tax rates in Cali. Between sales tax, lic fees and don’t even try to factor in a personal tax rate to the gross transaction. If I viewed purchases in this manner I would never purchase anything.🤪

For anyone actually looking for one of these cars.... I have my eyes on an STO and could be convinced to let mine go.

Car has 686km and was delivered Oct 31, 2022.

Feel free to find my delivery thread with spec and timeline.
I have a 23 with 70km.

If you look on Autotrader, there are only 62 EVO Spiders (AWD/RWD) and the desirability is very high on them. I would expect the RWD's to hold their MSRP value very well due to lower production numbers and arguably the best looking Spyder available.

I don't mean to object to the view above, but I do find it pretty funny that each of us sees a different variant of the H as the optimal to own and the one that will be value stable.
On one hand, it's nice because that means there may be buyers later down the line for every model. On the other we may just all be overly biased and given the overall abundance of H be the victims of great depreciation.

From a "value" standpoint, I don't see my RWD Spyder being as good as a Perf but I sure would rather own my car over a 580-2 or 640-4 Spyder hands down, I also prefer the aesthetics over the EVO AWD. Most of us didn't buy it to appreciate or anything like that but we prefer if they don't sink like a McLaren in value.

I feel there are many buyers on the sidelines with CASH ….tire kicking waiting for the floor to fallout.
I have been looking around on many different sites and i can tell you seems like many exotics are piling up….i feel it’s going to get ugly for the dealers that
don’t have liquidity.
Yes looks like inventory is growing and prices are dropping. The SF90 Values in particular, are a good representation of this. This 2022 example with only 1200 miles in resale red is perfect example

Looks like they are starting to be listed for under sticker, or they will be within the next 30-90 days at most
All of our newer EVO's should be at MSRP or under used, just like the good ol days, I'm sure we'll keep trending in that direction.

My newer EVO isn’t for sale but I’d consider for $100k over sticker. My trend hasn’t changed! 😀

i don’t favor one particular Huracan over another, but the rarity and supply is what drives price in the long run. If there are 100 cars for sale and most (if not all) are dealer owned then it’s likely the dealers controlling market pricing and it will crack at some point.

However if it was ~30 cars then it’s a tight market and price is more accurate.

You can extrapolate from here. There are exceptions obviously, some cars and models are soo coveted it doesn’t matter as much. The demand will be soo high (GT3’s, C8’s, 488 Pista’s)

One unrelated note: Wouldn’t you guys prefer to buy a car privately so you can meet the owner and get a better idea of how the car was treated and owned? Dealers hide everything.
I’d rather pay my dealer, who is wonderful, than deal with a private party or a used exotic car store. Dealing with this kind of asset the services and piece of mind provided are also extremely important. When transactions go south it gets upsetting very quickly.
My 21 sticker was $303k so what would it sell for? 5k miles
2022 cars under 1k miles are selling for $300k. About $50k over. I can imagine 2021 selling for around 30-35k over, $285k range.

Spyder seems to be pulling slight premium. Yours has some miles though and decently high MSRP.

wholesale around MSRP. Retail around $325k
