Pre-LP Gallardo or Porsche Cayman GT4

Ok I know what the answers will be asking on a lambo forum but I still gotta post. I currently have a 2016 981 GT4. It's modded pretty nicely with headers, wrap, etc... 18-way seats not buckets but it's optioned pretty well. I grew up with a father in the 80s/90s who had italian exotics. So I have the memories of 308s, 348, Countach, 355, Diablo etc... so I have always sort of been drawn to the Italian world. Still I have owned 3 german Porsches instead. There isn't really a Q car wise...the GT4 handles well arguably better, more nimble, lighter, sounds good with the 200cel cats, and is near the same power. It's also quite comfortable for me. But I have been looking at 6MT Gallardo for a while. Ideally 06+. Am I crazy? I listed my Cayman at a price a bit below market and already have to potential buyers... Obviously it will take me some time to find a 6MT gallardo how i want. But what are peoples thoughts... the Gallardo seems like the rare exotic...the GT4 is less rare but has amazing driving prowess. It also looks more "modern" styling wise...but less edge and more curvey. Not as low slung. I know I will miss steering feel and weight going Lambo... but the gated shifter and experience is just...different. (I've checked out 5 cars and driven 4 in the past year or so...) Obviously people on this forums will have Lambo...but curious to hear "why" you did or would choose that over a GT4...

I know Porsche’s are good cars and perform well, but for some reason I can’t stand them. Lamborghini all the way!

Plus one, I will never go back to Porsche. Had a 2018 718 Cayman S, 2019 GT3-RS and a 2018 GT2-RS and it just got boring. Love my Huracan both the sound of the 10 cylinder engine and the artful interior and exterior design. This has been repeated many times so forgive me if I repeat one more time but, Lamborghini is the "best of both worlds Italian design and German engineering", and boy is that spot on!

Agree, though the GT4 although fun doesn't have enough hp, admittedly, of course, these cars will NEVER have enough hp. Though, @mcomet if you love your GT4 and want a Lamborghini then if feasible get the Lamborghini and keep the GT4. ;)
Thank you for the replies. I should mention primary use is road. I tracked my GT4 exactly once in the three years i have had it. Fun but not something I really do and prefer road driving anyhow mostly. And yes right answer would be both but I can only do one in my garage. HP wise a preLP Gallardo while larger in number is similar acceleration time. I'm fine with that level for basic street driving. It's more the "event" when going out and engagement about the usage.... like one of the previous posters said I feel like the Porsches get boring a bit - at least unless really pushed to the limit...they are so precise/good it's almost less interesting. Looks like I am going to take the next step of at least unloading my car to start... thanks all.
One thing I forgot to add was I see way more Porsche’s on the road than Lamborghini’s. Something about the rarity of them plus the way people react to them, you’ll never get that from Porsche.

Feel the same way I have tracked and didn't enjoy it as much as the open road. Good luck with your new adventure! (y)
I have both and love both marques. Lambo (supercharged LP 550-2) is more of an "occassion" and a fanatastic fast road car. GT4 is strictly race track and drive to and from. Selling my '17 GT3 and buying a new PDK GT4 but keeping the '16 981 for track duty; I just like the small closeting cabin of the GT4 which is what sports cars should be I think but nothing beats the noise from a 'charged Gallardo.

Interesting and agree both Porsche and Lamborghini are indeed marque brands. So a PDK GT4? Sounds exciting, got to love the Porsche PDK, it is impressive!
