Can those in the know please school me on values of these 2 on identical mileage and age. ? I've been looking at buying a Coupe,...there don't seem to be many around here for sale. Similar Roadsters are more plentiful but several £k cheaper. Is that the norm, or am I silly for considering a Coupe if I can get a cheaper similar age Roadster for cheaper?

I called on a coupe for sale, who said "coupes are generally more expensive by several £k" I'm trying to work out how accurate he is.

Knowledge on values please. I'm in the UK

Ps. Sorry its a value ££ thread :)

There are much more coupes than spyders (not roadsters), so I guess on the long term spyders should rise more in value than the coupes. But why bother for such a small price difference. Buy what you like now and think when you’ll drive it… in the sun or in the rain? 😉 Topless it is!

Thanks for your reply. Here in the UK there are currently 12 Pre LP cars for sale in total on Autotrader, 9 of these are the Spyder variant. Are coupe owners not selling or just a freak coincidence?

That's good to know.

I also spoke to the largest indi dealer in the UK, he mentioned there are probably less coupes in the UK as a lot were exported to Australia and Singapore, while emissions meant that Spyders couldn't be after theGallardo was 1st introduced here. That might explain the lack of early Coupes over here. Also taller people get a little extra legroom in the coupe.

Rarity dose not always mean an increase in value. Demand versus supply can effect value though. It seems coupes are preferred over Spyder's. Spyder's are also heavier and not as rigid as the coupes.
