I'm currently a F-Car in the market for a Diablo. I will keep my 355 spider and want an entry level Lambo.

Found a Blk/Blk 92 for 98K in NJ. 2 quick questions:

1. Can someone post a the name of a good place for a PPI in NJ?

2. Does anyone have any feedback on Interstate Motors?

Thank You.

Intro 92 Lambo

Frank,
I own a 91 Diablo and in the middle of a complete restoration that I am doing myself. I know the car inside and out. The 92 is almost identical. I wouldn't mind any questions you have as a second opinion to the dealer.

If you live up north in NJ, there is a Lamborghini dealer in Lodi off Rt. 17. Since your a F car owner you should know Classic Coach in Elizabeth. They own Lamborghini in Lodi. Ask for Steve 201 909-0072.

I live in NYC.

Hi Frank,
I spoke with Interstate Motors about that car. He says it has had a new clutch and a full service. I then asked him to fax me receipts and all of a sudden he might not have them after all and he is going to look for them. He then states he had the cam chain and tensioners done. I mentioned most 92's from the factory already had these updates, and his response is that he had them done anyway. Not so good so far.
Wil Degroot is definitely a good way to go for an inspection. This still may be a good Diablo. Perhaps the owner has found the documentation by now in regards to service. I'm not sure why someone throws away an $8000 receipt for a clutch, but it is possible. There is a shortage of Diablo's on the market at this time, but I will see what else comes up. I know of a 5k mile 99 Roadster if you want the ultimate open air car.

I will speak with restraint and just say that interstate motors has changed their name at least three times that I know of and their sales are more than questionable. Many people seem to have the same bad "luck" when dealing with them.

Thank you everyone.

1. I'm in Ft Laud...the reason I was looking for a PPI in NJ is because that's where the car is..

2. Getting a bad feeling about this dealer... found him in Dupont and he has the same car listed about 4 times with different price...as low as $95.

3. I asked for more interior photos and either a car fax or VIN# and he has been reluctant to reply to emails...

Exoticarsearch - Are you in the biz? Or anyone out there.. looking for an entry level car for about $100K or so... cash transaction.

Thanks again eveyone...I'll let you know how this pans out...
Best

Thanks Jay - yes I saw the car...don't mind Euro mechanically...but the black mirrors just don't work unless the car is black.

Car has to look right to me...I'll know it when I see it. I'm a concours kind of guy. The F-Car has 4 trophy's in past 18 months...all nationally reconginized events. Also have a TT P-Car :)
