Has anyone successfully cleaned or replaced the micro switches in the egear paddle shifter?

Yes. I disassembled the paddle. Even though the switch appears sealed, I still sprayed with contact clearer while rapidly pressing the button. I should note, it also seemed like the paddle assembly that was double shifting also seemed to have a different grease in it. I cleaned both up and lightly regreased. All has been good for 1.5 years/ 3k miles.

No issues with ABS sensor or item ECU programming ?

I'm assuming since you're not replacing the Sele-Speed unit it's fine to remove , clean and re-install.

You only need to reprogram the steering angle if the Sele-Speed is replaced . No issues at all if you are not replacing it.

I didn't remove the whole unit. I left the clockspring attached to the column, and just removed the paddles.
