Hello,

Does anyone know the number of quarts needed to perform an oil change in an early Diablo?

Thanks

The owners manual says 14 Liters. Which begs the question, when changing oil how much stays trapped in the lines?

My interpretatation of 14 Lt's is , with a complete Oil Change with Filter, have At Least 14 Liters "on hand" or 15 or 16 to facilitate a complete oil change!

Having done hundreds of Diablo Oil Changes, this means REFILL with 10 Liters...(quarts in US English) ...start the engine for a few minutes (as long as there are no issues), check for Oil Pressure & Oil Leaks or Other Issues, shut down and check Oil Level. Repeat and Top Up until the Oil Level reaches within an 8th to 16th Inch or approx. 5 MM of the Max reading on the Dipstick. It is not neccesary to be at the MAX level...MAX means MAX, not Optimun!!!! The Optimum Level is Slightly Below MAX.

This procedure should be done on a flat surface!!!
