New limited edition Lamborghini coming out, it'll be a modern version of the Countach

I heard from my dealer that Lambo will be showing a limited edition (around a 100) car which will be a modern version of the Countach. It'll be based on the Aventador but look like a modern Countach. The car is to celebrate the 50 year anniversary of the Countach. Price will be similar to the Sian, not sure when they'll be showing the car. My guess is Quail which is still on but we shall see.

Lol, they're reporting what's been posted in this thread and the fool that runs thesupercarblog.com steals stories from forums but doesn't credit the original poster or this site. He doesn't have insider information, just reposting forum postings on his crappy blog.

So the reveal is less than 5 hours EST away. It's 11:00 CET witch is 6 hours ahead of eastern. Can't wait to watch the video when I get up around 5 am to feed our little cats. Timing couldn't be more perfect, lol. I think we're gonna be blown away with what we see.
Well....that was anticlimactic! 😕 They showed absolutely nothing! Only talked about their future, a 4th model (all-electric car by the middle of the this decade) and how well the company as a whole are doing to reduce their carbon footprint. I can't believe they put this little press conference out without any intent to show the 2 cars everyone has been asking about. So are they going to release pictures later today? Or not for a while (months)?!! Such a letdown!! 😞😞

Perhaps the car/teaser was only showed to VIPs and we don’t get to see it just yet.. maybe a leak here and there.
Lamborghini was just showing off it's future plans just like Ferrari did a month ago. I think the upcoming cars will have it's own presentation in the future.

They'll preview the SJ in the coming weeks and my guess is they'll wait to show the Countach tribute car later in the year. And yes potential customers for the Countach tribute car have seen renders but signed a NDA so they can't talk about it.

Awesome. What is the exact date when the Lamborghini Countach was revealed? I know it's 1971, tell me exactly when. Why? Coz Lamborghini will most likely reveal the upcoming Countach tribute to commemorate the Countach on that date.

"In 2016, Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador Miura Homage which itself paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of the iconic Miura.

It has been 50 years since the Countach debuted at the 1971 Geneva Motor Show and Lamborghini will reportedly announce a limited-run version of the Sian that pays tribute to the Countach."
I can't wait to see this "Countach Tribute" maybe at Pebble Beach.
It seems to have gone dead? I haven’t seen anything new in months.
I have NOT seen any credible sources that suggest this build.
you would think, the recreation of the most iconic car ever built would get some press.
You would think that other Lamborghini forums would be reporting this........and NADA
I quoted myself…..twice
I wil believe it when I see it
Hate to be the negative nelly, very very doubtful.
This is laughable and atrocious nonsense. A rebodied Aventador can only be that, regardless of how advanced the esthetics. The Countach was a rarified true brutal iconic breakthrough design by the all time master. Ghandini. All others bowed down to its sublime and spectacular magnificence, even the translation of its name, which you should know…
The perfect one word nomenclature. I love the factory making huge profits to bring us more 12 cylinder animals; and thank fanboys for buying the limited production units…
However…this will never be an icon or anything else to be coveted like the true classic Countach. Look at the rising value of by manual transmission classics around the world…hell, we call them millennial anti theft devices! The younger fanboys have not the foggiest clue. Ferruvii carved a singular niche…. brutality required. A too civil machine is not a Lamborghini.
Like the truly ugly Murcielago, it is an AUDIGHINI!
No soul, like the URUS soccer mom mess. UGLY..
It pales before the brutal and rugged original sublime LMOO2. I do however like the profit reality of the URUS so I want the factory to have massive success!
more brutal 12 cylinders for us!
The only possible fashion in which this Audighini nonsense could be a smash success in the true forever iconic classical Countach vein is to give a clean sheet of paper ( CAD software) to the master.
The greatest designer of all time…
The Commendatre.

Marcello Ghandini.

Mr Ghandini: I am fully prepared as ambassador to broker this commission with the factory…

All bow down.

Calling the murcielago an "Audighini" is hilarious. They hardly had a hand in that car. The engine is as Lamborghini as it gets.

Go drive a pre-lp murcielago and then drive a modern huracan and tell me which one is an audi.

My pre-lp gallardo is the most uncomfortable car on the planet. Its very, very obvious how much Audi did between the pre-lp and the LP.

either way, I think we all know these special editions are just cash grabs.

It'll "most likely" be shown at the 50th bday celebration for the Countach at Pebble Beach. Maybe the public will get a teaser prior to the official unveiling. Potential customers were shown the render by dealers, my dealer showed me the render couple months ago. The ones that have seen the render are under NDA.
Thank you for your thoughts. I never ceases to be amazed at the loud opinions of new fanboys that know nothing of Ferrucionor Marcello.
