Once again, I point to the 05/06 Ford GT as the inspirational focal point. Ford pulled it off perfectly, why wouldn’t Lamborghini be able to do the same? If anything, Ford made the design better overall, especially the interior which looks just as interesting/satisfying today as it did over 15 years ago when it was first released.
COULD Lamborghini do it? Sure, but remember the Ford GT was a 100% from scratch build. Sure, they pulled a few parts from the bins, but it wasn't just a mustang with some different fenders on it. I can't see Audi allowing Lambo to build a completely from scratch V12 supercar to celebrate the countach. In my opinion that is what would have to happen to make it comparable to the Ford GT.

Most likely it will be a lightly restyled Aventador. If we are lucky, it will be heavily restyled.

Disclaimer since it seems to be important to people on this thread
No, I won't be able to afford one of these.

He's not getting worked up, just stating a fact that he can't find anything on it. Even some of the most secretive cars get leaked eventually (see the McLaren Sabre. The design images were online for months in forums before it became official).

And being able to afford it or not, has nothing to do with asking a question. It's more about being passionate about the brand and this particular limited edition model. I grew up with Countach posters on my walk in the early 80s and was thrilled when Kyosho and Auto Art produced really good 1:18 scale diecasts for us fans. So news of a factory "restomod-style" Countach that can be bought new has a lot of people excited!

I think it's all of us who just want to see what this will actually look like. The suspense is what is killing us and I'm eager to see how a Countach bodied Aventador will look. Can't wait to see it break cover. 👍
Not everything is leaked and plastered on the internet. This car is very special and my dealer told me about it last summer. Dealers reached out to their top tier clients last summer, there was no renders, no information, just that it was going to be a very special limited production car launched for the Countach anniversary and if you wanted one you had to put a sizable deposit.

There's other information about this car which I can't share but like I posted in my original post the car will look like a modern Countach and will only share the Aventador chassis, that's it.

That's interesting so it's gna be very different from Aventador Series and all the spin-offs.

So does anybody have an idea of the price point for this new gem?

Very curious on what look they decide to go for, particularly for the interior. Honestly, I already consider the Aventador to be a modern Countach, so I can only wonder how they'll try a more direct emulation in the modern time.

Confirmed...

Lamborghini will reveal two new models powered by its V12 engine this year, as it aims to continue its growth after recording its second-best year of annual sales in 2020.

While no official details of the two V12 products have been released, new Lamborghini boss Stephan Winkelmann told Autocar that one of the machines would feature the electrified supercapacitor system featured on the Sian FKP 37 hypercar. Autocar understands that model is likely to be another limited-run special.
