Hi Folks,

I'm writing an article about using the iPod in your car and I need to interview a Lambo owner who has done this. Preferably somebody who has used one of the high-quality interfaces (ie: not FM modulation) and who lives around the Silicon Valley. Tho others would be ok too, so don't be shy.

I need to finish this by Tuesday, so let's communicate asap. Doesn't need to be a live conversation, we can chat right here, or email, im, etc.

Thanks!

FM joke

With the FM modulation cheapy is not the way to go, I went to radio crap the other day and got one. It didn’t last 10 minutes in the car. It was so full of distortion and static you could hardly hear anything. The tuning dial of the system is such a joke. I think hard wiring is the only way to go
Does anybody know if the stock radio as an aux input on the back. I am putting a McIntosh system in my car and hard wiring an IPod (60 Gig  ) into the system.

The IPod will replace the ashtray. I am going to use two products from the Apple store the hardwire powersupply and the 1/8 to RCA connector. I plan to cut the cigar lighter portion off of the power plug and hard wire right behind the cigar lighter. Then the RCA adaptor will connect to XLO interconnects and go to the amp.

I do not see why a local shop or dealer would not be able to hardwire one up for you guys ... as long as the radio has an aux input... at worst you would have to change the head unit or put an amp in... Is the stock head unit as bad as many say?
