Hello all !!
I few years ago i have done the mod for an exhaust valves switch.
AND NOW IT LOOK LIKE THAT... very OEM (light bright when valves off, light switches off when valves are ON)
It's the DRL switch mod.
following this great post
but i wanted it to be more "OEM"
so i decided to use a used Lamborghini DRL switch of others models of gallardo.
Here is what i've done:
bought the DRL switch and remove all the circuit to put an on/off permanent push button switch, a led,a resistor (100ohm) a 1mm plastic piece (like that the push button can move), few wires and soldier
the result :
when valves are open : the light is on.... when valves are off the light is off.
the push button stays as you left it when you switch off the ignition
so no need to use it every time the ignition is turned on.
the only thing i haven't done is to change the text.. i have contacted a lot of shops that can customize push buttons with laser and etching the button but they don't want to use other button than theirs...
the only way could be to put a sticker on the "DRL" text.
