Hello all !!

I few years ago i have done the mod for an exhaust valves switch.

AND NOW IT LOOK LIKE THAT... very OEM (light bright when valves off, light switches off when valves are ON)
It's the DRL switch mod.

following this great post
but i wanted it to be more "OEM"
so i decided to use a used Lamborghini DRL switch of others models of gallardo.

Here is what i've done:
bought the DRL switch and remove all the circuit to put an on/off permanent push button switch, a led,a resistor (100ohm) a 1mm plastic piece (like that the push button can move), few wires and soldier
the result :
when valves are open : the light is on.... when valves are off the light is off.
the push button stays as you left it when you switch off the ignition
so no need to use it every time the ignition is turned on.

the only thing i haven't done is to change the text.. i have contacted a lot of shops that can customize push buttons with laser and etching the button but they don't want to use other button than theirs...
the only way could be to put a sticker on the "DRL" text.

Nice job! Would you be willing to tell us and show us exacty where you connected your switch to control the exhaust valves? Did you need to install a diode to keep your switch from back feeding power into the factory electronics?
Thanks

Hello Strappd,
On the first post there is the link on the original post from Dolto member.
http://www.lamborghini-talk.com/vbforum/179212-post40.html
There you can see where is located the wire.
To be sure you can see directy on the valve there are two wires (a purple+ a black/green)
You can catch the black/green wire behind the left front seat.
There are pictures on the post.
I've done exactly the same: cut the black/green wire and soldier on this cut my 2 wires that go in the central console.

No need to put a diod: the power comes from the black/green wire.

I show all i've done.

I try write in english as best i can.
