How do you post pics here? I’m working on a hardtop for a customer for the Roadster and I think there may be a few of you here who will want one also.

I also have a Liberty Walk version 3 wing available. I decided to put the full LP670 conversion on my car and didnt use/mount the Liberty Walk wing.

I have a roadster I'm making my own that will be three pieces. These three pieces will follow the arched seat line and the center will drop int the center valley. My hope is to keep the car looking low and continue with the unique body lines. My intention is to cut apart the front truck so they will store there. I'm making these with carbon fiber and Kevlar. Finishing up winter machinate and hope to have these completed with some other carbon parts soon.

Are you doing it yourself? If you don't have a lot of experience in this area, I would recommend partnering with a local kit car builder. Those guys are skilled at what they do even though we all generally hate what they build.

With what Murci owners are willing to pay, you could make a pretty good business letting them mock up and test the top on your car and then selling them.

I was going to have a customer stitched top done last season. But weather didn't permit. I played with this over the winter as the engine was removed waiting for a custom clutch. If this works out, I can make molds. I'll attach a picture of the concept. It will be three pieces. I'm considering a piece of glass UN the center arch. I am also going to delete the the rear portion behind the seat and place a fixed part and see if I can make it also function as an additional vent into the engine. There is so much more going on than a hard top in this picture also.

+1 here. In 14 years few people have seemed to figure this out. I think some of the other hard tops have failed because they couldn't engineer it to stay on. The Murci top system is very crude
I also don't think it was designed to stay on to perform since the disclaimer is to not drive over 70.
I, also, think I an going to have mine mount to the carbon trim that is in place while the top is off. I am looking to keep this low and sleek. Not to extend any higher than the wind shield and slope down to the seat and also follow the unique lines of the car. This may pose uncomfortable for talk people that may be interested. But, I'm only 5'8" and building for me and to perform.
I am also considering some kind of boot or cover that will fit behind the seat, where the support is housed to capture this air flow and possibly push it into the engine bay. This will also allow the door to not be as long.i want this to fit up front without chopping to much up inside there. My front diffs. are gone, so the room is there if I need.
I haven't powered up the car yet, and my whole ownership has been with ZERO roof. So, the windows have never been all the way up. In considering how the seal the roof to the window, do the windows drop like Audi and VW's do to allow the door to open and close and reseal? i do see in pictures there is some shape change in the soft top from the door to the car. I am assuming to allow the door to swing up.
I'm looking to power up and cold start this weekend. So, I will be able to investigate further at that time.

I always forget to post to this site. I will definitely have it figured out this winter. I'll post how it turns out. My concept is to keep the windshield frame the highest pont on the car, so the idea may not be practical for taller folks. But, what's practical about this car in the 1st place... Haha

With this whole health issue affecting us all and the car season for the north east portion of the US, I haven't made any further progress. My vision for my car has become more involved also. I will keep you posted on this hard top. If it's something you might be interested in purchasing, I will have molds of all my parts, so I'm sure we can talk in a personal level.
On a side note, in addition to the aging hoses to replace before they fail, I've found the engine wires show age issues with rot. I found my "bank" engine lights to be associated with wires. I had an injector and O2 sensor wire show this problem. That said, I added this to my list and I'm replacing all the wires in the engine.
