MORE NEWS: The Right of First Refusal on The Revuelto is REAL.

Just got an email from my SA at local dealership related to my Revuelto order.
So far I have the $30k deposit in and a signed purchase order for a spec car (not a pre-config).
So the email is a MANDATORY Right of First Refusal Agreement that must be signed to be able to get the new Revuelto.

Someone mentioned this as being a possibility coming from the factory, and I just wanted to confirm that this is real and that if you have an order in, you should be getting this document soon if you have not signed it already.
Or anyone with a pre-config getting a car without having to sign this? Let us know. Or maybe you'll have to sign it when car comes in... Not sure.

As for the details of the agreement, basically you have to sell the car back to the dealer if you plan to part with it in the first 12 months, and dealer gets the lower price of what you paid for it vs. the value determined by the Manheim Market Report for wholesale value of the car ... Dealer has 5 days to decide whether or not to buy it.

First time I have seen something like this but I guess it makes sense and I'm not worried about it personally as I plan to keep the car for a year at least to enjoy it but could keep it longer until the SV version comes out.

This. Dealer can't make you take wholesale or MSRP, unless you don't want to wait for it to sell on consignment.
Exactly. They will happily co-sign. They just don’t want people to get cars and flip private.
Common practice across most exotic brands.
My dealer did the same to me, told me exact same thing. $30k, first right of refusal or get removed from the wait list.
I just sent in my paperwork for ROFR this morning. You can negotiate a commission with your dealer and sell the car for what the value will be at that time. This is the way Ferrari has been working with their special edition cars for years. You then keep the relationship with the dealer and everyone makes money. Otherwise you will no longer be able to buy a new car from them.

Why are you in a rush to buy an early car? If you're getting an allocation I would wait for a 2nd year allocation. More options and less issues.
Part of the appeal to me of the new car is having it before it becomes common place and less exotic over time. Just a personal thing. Are you getting a pre-config? I mean I did not want a pre-config for one of the reasons you mentioned in that I have more options with a spec car but hoping there are not many issues as it seems since 2015 with the Huracan and Urus releases those cars have really good quality from what I can tell. But yea just excited to get it while it's not commonplace.

Yup, I'm getting the preconfig which I'll likely trade in for a 2nd year allocation.

how are tecnnica prices looking right now? way above sticker?

for my part, I paid sticker. New ones I’m seeing offered by the dealers (already delivered) seem to be 50k over.

newbie question ... what happens to you if you violate "right of first refusal" contract and sell your car private party or somewhere else that is not the dealer in the first 12 months ?

do they sue you ? do they ban you ? anyone know the penalties ?

Ask John Cena...
As far as I know, blacklisted from buying another new Lamborghini. High profile enough and more could happen I’m sure.

I've heard that you would be banned from receiving any new allocation from Lamborghini, aka no more specing new cars.
Your results may vary....

Ouch that's a tough penalty .. I guess the penalty for violating the contract is... you are never ever going to be able to get .. the NEXTvuelto ;)
The agreement also mentions that the dealer can sue and collect for damages if you flip the car within one year. They're dead serious about no flipping for the first year.
Local Anesthesiologist flipped a Pista within months. Never getting a new car from dealership again.
