All the speedos are miles off. 10% against a GPS speed. If you sit at 100mph you're really only doing 90.
Looking good!Made it to Tuscon last night, we spent about 6 hrs on the road. We got a late start but I think we are well rested and ready to go.
The car is doing great except I think my mph is over by about 7, any ideas on how to fix or even what would cause it?
I was so nervous to leave it outside at the Marriott last night..... but I was more worried about falling asleep driving it. I checked on it several times through the night (asked for a window room) and first thing this morning and everything is fine!
Only 12hrs left......
There has got to be some kind of device out there that allows us to calibrate our speedos???
Factory tech doesn't seem to know about any issues and if they can be calibrated?!
Are all our cars off on the speedometer reading? And if so why?
Just read earlier in the thread. And how does it affect our odometers?
Some European countries have a stiff fine for auto manufacturers if the speedometer reads slower than actual speed. So I'm guessing Lamborghini was extra cautious in building in a safety margin in their speedo calibration. When I was at Ford, our spec was actual speed -0 mph/+5 mph not a percentage error. But then we weren't selling 200 MPH cars either. The error on my 2014 Lincoln MKZ is right around +1 mph @ 70 mph so it seems like Ford is still using the same tolerance band.IIRC, I remember reading somewhere that Federal law required speedometers to be within a 5% accuracy? Plus or minus 2.5% from the true reading? Mycoolsteel, I assume that your tires are the original sizes? If not, this could potentially be causing the issue?
The E-gear pump will prime after less than an hour thats perfectly normal. My new concern is the egear pump priming every time I open the door after sitting only overnight 12-14hrs. I read somewhere that could be the sign of a pretty expensive fix.
Awesome!! That must've been what I was remembering......priming to long. This forum makes Lamborghini ownership so much more enjoyable! The E-gear pump will prime after less than an hour thats perfectly normal.
If it primes for a long time that may be cause for concern but it is normal for it to re-prime unless you hop back in the car ten minutes later.
That's great news!! I was really stressing it.....Not true at all. Sounds like it is operating exactly as it should!~

If your at a stop light and it's a long light and you take your foot off the brake it will go from the 1-6 shift screen to the RN screen. Depress brake again and shift lever to engage 1st gear once brake depressed the 1-6 shift screen will reappear.Anyone else's ever not shift out of neutral into first?
It might have just been not having my foot on the brake, it happened today but fixed itself when I pushed the brake.. not sure if I was pushing it before. I'll be sure and pay close attention to that next time.
So only pushing the brake will make the 1-6 screen appear or do I need to pull the positive shift lever??? Newbee questions!! Brake depressed = 1-6 shift screen then select first year w right shift lever. So only pushing the brake will make the 1-6 screen appear or do I need to pull the positive shift lever??? Newbee questions!! Thanks
