Car is in for its yearly maintenance service, its a 2014 Roadster.

Dealer said water pump is starting to leak a little, I haven't noticed anything myself and car temps are fine.

Its a $3400 repair per dealer. Anyone had anything similar?

The replacement water pump is not even as expensive as $3400. Better to replace it. I have had it. It was due to a failed thermostat system (temperature sensors).

Some of them tend to weep.
Change all the idler pulleys and belt while they are replacing the water pump. Unless you like to pay again for labor then leave then as is lol

common, 3400 is a bit steep i think the new water pump is around 600 in parts.

What do you mean? I know part is cheap but that is including labor.

how many hours are they quoting you? you might want to look elsewhere if its anymore than 4 hours.
