Leaf guard mesh for Huracan Performante?

Hi everyone!

During a recent road trip out of Sydney (Australia), the Performante front spoiler collected leaves, insects and road pebbles which can damage the cooling fins inside the front spoiler, and are also difficult to clean out.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to best prevent the road debris from entering the front spoiler of the Performante?
And how to best clean out the debris thoroughly?

Thanks in advance for your ideas and tips!

Radgard is the name of the product - custom made to fit. You have to remove the bumper to install, but it looks really good.
For anyone else - we found this and it looks amazing! Can’t wait:

I would imagine this would also be an issue in the Sterrato? does anyone have a close up view of the front radiator and see if they have any protective coverings?

Super valid point!

I didn't feel like paying $850-1400, so I'm making my own. I'm using high quality, powder coated, metal mesh, and the plastic STO protectors. Worked out well, being that the mesh is hexagon shaped to boot. Total for all of the parts was about $200.

Cleaned up the edges, got the JB Weld on it, the mesh lined up nicely, and they are all clamped up for the next 24 hours. Will post pics when I get them on the car, in a week or two.

This is for the STO? My Perf doesn’t have anything there at all, not even to modify.

The plastic screens come on the STO (and possibly the Tecnica), but the AC condensers are the same for every trim of Huracan, so I just bought a pair for this purpose. They look like they simply snap onto the condensers.

Here's the STO protector part:

And the AC condensers, that they affix to. As you can see, they are the same part number for every trim.
I actually have my new condensers, here at the house, so I can fit the protectors to them and snap some pics, before I drop the car off.

Are you doing this for your perf? Sounds like a great idea, order the screens for the STO and modify them.

I am. My condensers are fairly ate up, so I wanted to get some protection for the new ones I'm having installed.

Makes sense - i want to do the same for mine. They have seen better days. You’ll have to send me some instructions if you would be so kind. On my list is removing the bumper to re do the PPF and when i do that this would be a great thing to do. I made my mind up that i do not want to sell my Perf. It is too much fun!

Are you S/C or Turboing it?

Def TTing it.

i often wondered about the aspect of damaging the value long term for the car. I may just pick up a 765LT as a stablemate.

I can't imagine a better pairing, tbh.

Why not just overlap the mesh right on top of the plastic piece?

You mean, without modifying it? I wanted to minimize the reduction in airflow, even if it's only a few percent difference, that it looked like overlapping them would cause. I basically wanted to keep the structure of the OEM part, give enough surface area for the JB Weld, increase airflow as much as possible, all while adding better protection than the OEM part offered. It doesn't hurt that I think it looks a lot nicer.

Alright. JB Weld finished curing, and I actually like that it added a glossy look to the plastic underneath, as it matches the gloss black of the metal mesh.

Here they are installed on the new condensers:
