Leaf guard mesh for Huracan Performante?

Hi everyone!

During a recent road trip out of Sydney (Australia), the Performante front spoiler collected leaves, insects and road pebbles which can damage the cooling fins inside the front spoiler, and are also difficult to clean out.

Does anyone have any suggestions for how to best prevent the road debris from entering the front spoiler of the Performante?
And how to best clean out the debris thoroughly?

Thanks in advance for your ideas and tips!

They make radiator guards for dirtbikes, maybe you can engineer something similar using this stuff.

Have used vacuum cleaner with long extension attachment to gently vacuum the frontal radiator areas, then washing using some bug spray (like 3D bug spray which is gentle enough and works ok) prior to rinse.

That hole in the radiator looks really bad! How does that not cause a leak?
The hole is only in the cooling fins...so it won't leak, but it's a serious issue with this car. Mine is as bad minus the hole...

Wish someone would come up with an insert, like I have on my 991 TTS...

Its a bad design....this is the only flaw on the HP

This was the first thing I noticed at the unveil and was hoping that it would be sorted prior to production :(
Most exotics have this... But most have aftermarket grill options...

Take off front bumper and install the mesh manually. You can get the mesh from home improvement store. The car will look funny with the mesh but the radiator will be protected. That is the only option for preventing the junks entering.

For cleaning our the debris, pressure wash directed to the radiator and blower directed to radiator are best. May want to avoid pressure wash on the body or painted areas.

Or the cheapest option is to just avoid road trip at least to messy areas.
If someone released a pre-fabricated kit made of black colored mesh or protection insert, I'd be all over that. Black colored could make it stealthy enough as to not be too noticeable.

Maybe something with hexagons since everything else is a hexagon anyways...

The GT2 RS pulls the full silver/grey mesh look off.

Thank you all for your suggestions and advice. I appreciate your replies :)

Hopefully the facelift model next year will address this issue with some form of radiator mesh guard.
After a track session you all should see the amount of rubber that is stuck onto the coolers.
haha the clag offers some sort of protection.
The challenge is to build a frame, get the mesh in there and stick it in front of the rads...
I believe VF engineering a developing one
That would be great! Maybe I'll even get them in there before my rads bite the bullet! Lol 😂
I bought some aluminium insect screen from Bunnings and carefully placed it in front of each radiator on either side of the front bumper. Made a template, cut it out then partially rolled it up to fit it through the front. Stops the stone damage to the fins and being black, it’s totally unnoticeable.

I've thought more on this, you could make a frame out of brake line tubing and a tube bender and attach it to the car with 3m two sided automotive tape. Paint everything satin black. We got options. It depends on who creative you want to get.

Pictures? I'd like to see this, it sounds interesting.
